The New York City Wine & Food Festival Returns With a Marvelous Lineup

THE food event of the year is upon us!  Everyone who is everyone in the field of food, wine and spirits will congregate at Pier 94 in New York City from October 15th-18th for the eighth annual Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE.

The NYCWFF will encompass over a hundred events throughout the city including walk-around tastings, intimate chef and winemaker-driven dinners, educational seminars, interactive classes, and late-night parties.  Festival favorites such as the Grand Tasting and the Blue Moon Burger Bash will once again anchor the event, alongside some new additions for 2015 which include:

  • For the sweet tooth: Sweet Masquerade hosted by Dominique Ansel and Pecko Zantilaveevan
  • For the conscious consumer: Veg Out with Hungryroot hosted by Haylie Duff
  • For the pork-obsessed: Pigs n’ Pints hosted by Robert Irvine part of LOCAL presented by Delta Air Lines
  • For the cocktail connoisseurs:  The Art of Tiki: A Cocktail Showdown presented by Cocktail Kingdom hosted by Emeril Lagasse
  • For the ramen junkie: Celebrity Cruises®Ramen Party hosted by Chrissy Teigen and J. Kenji Lopez-Alt presented by Serious Eats
  • For the smooth sailing:  Midnight Jazz Breakfast hosted by Rev Run and Justine Simmons
  • For the committed palate:  A series of renowned chefs highlighted in the Bank of America Dinner Series, including Rainer Becker (ZUMA, United Kingdom), José Enrique (José Enrique, Puerto Rico), Leonor Espinosa (Leo Cocina y Cava, Colombia), Sebastiano Loriabe

The participants at the Grand Tasting, a variable “who’s who”, include:  Anne Burrell, Bobby Deen, Jamie Deen, Giada De Laurentiis, Haylie Duff, Tyler Florence, Duff Goldman, Alex Guarnaschelli, Carla Hall, Robert Irvine, Emeril Lagasse, Katie Lee, Debi Mazar, Gabriele Corcos, Masaharu Morimoto, Marc Murphy, Ted Allen, Rachael Ray, Marcus Samuelsson, Aarón Sánchez, John Besh, Michael Symon, Tiffani Thiessen, Geoffrey Zakarian, and Andrew Zimmern. What a line up!

Not only will this event educate and inspire hundreds of foodies and chefs alike, but it will also feed multitudes of people through the Food Bank for New York City and the No Kid Hungry campaign.  Last year the festival raised over a million dollars, with 100% of the proceeds going to these charities.
