The Local House Dishes Out a Dashing Miami Spice Menu

It’s that time of year again, Miami Spice is back! Miami Spice is held over the course of August 1 to September 30 and features some of the most eclectic and lavish restaurants in Miami. The Local House is one of our most highly recommended restaurants to put on your Miami Spice list. Offering guests a three-course lunch menu for $23 and/or dinner menu for $39, featuring some of The Local House’s most popular dishes.

The Local House is located inside of the Sense Hotel in South Beach. It has an elegant yet down to earth vibe. The outside seating provides scenic Ocean Drive views and the inside seating is sure to leave guests in awe of the beautiful decor.

The Miami Spice menu doesn’t include the price of drinks, but we promise the drinks are a sweet and necessary addition to the dinner experience. I absolutely loved the Kiwi Crush. This cocktail masterpiece is made with vodka, kiwi, agave, lemon juice and elderflower. By far the best drink on the menu.

Appetizers

The first course of Miami Spice begins. Appetizer options at The Local House for Miami Spice lunch and dinner include Goat Cheese Croquettes, Oysters on the Half Shell, Quinoa Fritters and Greek Salad. The Oysters on the Half Shell are superb. A lot of flavor in just one bite and just enough oysters to fill that craving. The Goat Cheese Croquettes take the win for the best appetizer. The Goat Cheese Croquettes are served with a savory guava sauce and are absolutely delicious. These are a must-try!

Entrees

Next up, the mouth-watering entrees. For the Miami Spice lunch menu we recommend the Maine Lobster Roll and Avocado & Seared Tuna Salad. The Maine Lobster Roll is served with lemon aioli, fine herbs and fries. The Avocado & Seared Tuna Salad comes with tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, peppers, red wine vinegar and olives.

For the Miami Spice dinner menu we highly recommend the Lobster Mac & Cheese and Salmon Roast. The Lobster Mac & Cheese is the best dish of the Miami Spice dinner menu. It was the best Lobster Mac & Cheese my tastebuds have ever experienced. It has such a rich, thick, creamy flavor, making you want more and more with every bite. It’s prepared with black pasta, smoked gouda cream, italian bread crumbs and truffle oil. The Salmon Roast wasn’t far behind the Lobster Mac & Cheese. The Salmon Roast is served with roasted root vegetables and preserved lemon cream sauce.

Dessert

Time for our favorite part, dessert! No matter how full I am, I always manage to have a secret compartment saved away for dessert. The two dessert options at The Local House for Miami Spice include Key Lime Pie and Seasonal Cheesecake. Both were deliciously scrumptious. The Key Lime Pie is served in a jar with frozen homemade key lime custard, crumbled graham cracker and whipped cream topping. The Key Lime Pie was so amazing, that I am craving it just thinking of it. I am native to Florida and have been indulging in Key Lime Pie my entire life, but I’ve never tried anything like this before.

The Seasonal Cheesecake was also very rant-worthy. This delicacy is served with mascarpone and ricotta cheese, topped with fresh local seasonal fruit. The sweet flavors of the berries mixed with the richness of the cheesecake, was the perfect way to end this incredible dinner experience.

The Local House will be offering its lunch and dinner Miami Spice menu every day paired with unmatched ocean views to compliment the meal from now to September 30. The Local House’s Spice lunch menu will be available Monday – Friday from 11:30AM to 6PM and Spice dinner menu will be available Monday – Friday from 6PM to 9PM. Happy Miami Spice!
