Quinto La Huella – Wonderful Taste of Uruguay

Quinto la Huella the renowned Uruguayan restaurant located on the fifth floor of EAST, Miami is modeled on the owners’ successful restaurant in Uruguay, Parador La Huella. Importing the value system of Farm-to-Table supply-chain, every ingredient is sourced with care and quality for. The venue as in all areas of the EAST Hotel is striking and gorgeous.

The walls are painted like a stone with grains of gray and orange. Both the floor and ceiling are birch color wood. The whole place has a warm and inviting beachfront cottage feel. There are several layers of private and semi-private spaces to choose from in addition to a glorious balcony.

Quinto’s items are created with fresh, local, and organic ingredients. Executive Chef, Nano Crespo, grew up learning the art of the trade in Buenos Aires in his family restaurant. He decided to take his talents to the United States where he has come to appreciate simple meals focused on farm to table values.

You must start with the delightful Grilled Provolone Cheese, the combination of crispy and gooey textures will enthrall thee.

Some claim that Uruguay produces some of the finest meats in the world! This is one of the few places where you can verify that claim with scrumptious Uruguayan steaks.

My fave dish of the night was the heavenly Grilled Snapper. Fresh, supple and cooked to perfection. I paired it with hypnotic leeks and leek sauce which you can ask them to add.

Volcano Dulce de Leche Recipe

Do not leave your table without diving into the fantastic and addictive Volcano Dulce de Leche. The traditional ooey-gooey molten cake has been elevated with Latin American flair of creamy caramel to the mix instead of boring chocolate!

The incredible Quinto is (of course) not a cheap restaurant, but lucky for us they just launched a pre-fixe menu available Monday to Friday from 12 pm to 4 pm, which includes your choice of an appetizer, main course and dessert, paired with a glass of wine and coffee for only $22 plus taxes and service charge. That is an insanely stellar deal!

This special menu will be changing every two weeks and features delicious signature dishes such as Octopus Escabeche, Flat Iron Steak With Mashed Potatoes & Criolla Sauce or Kale Pesto Orecchiette, plus, many other delectable wood-fired offerings.

Our experience at Quinto la Huella was truly stupendous! The enchanting ambiance, divine cuisine & excellent service will have us coming back here quite often!
