Matador Room Launches Taste of Matador

Ever wanted to try a restaurant’s best dishes? Well now you can at The Matador Room with The Taste of the Matador!

Located inside the private luxury enclave right on the beach that is The Miami Beach EDITION, is Matador Room, the culinary concepts overseen by Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.

Inspired by its rich history and 1950s glamour, world-renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten has reinvented the iconic Matador Room with reimagined menus that offer his interpretation of Caribbean, Spanish, and Latin and South American cuisines.

Seasonal menus are composed of small and large plates that embrace the freshest, locally sourced, seasonal produce. The space’s original chandelier has been restored and is suspended over the sunken oval dining room that is reminiscent of the glamorous supper clubs of the 1940s and 50s.

Just outside, the expansive Matador Terrace provides lush poolside and beachfront views and a custom trellis with climbing bougainvillea. With ocean and poolside views, Matador Terrace is set beneath a custom pergola covered with climbing bougainvillea and lush tropical greenery.

Taste of the Matador features some of Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s most popular signature dishes including the Spring Pea GuacamoleArroz Con PolloWild Gulf Shrimp and Tres Leche Cake. The new prix fixe menu will guide diners through the chef’s greatest hits all in one sitting. The five-course prix fixe menu is priced at $78 per person+

The Spring Pea Guacamole with Toasted Sunflower Seeds & Crunchy Tortillas is sublime. One of the best Guac dishes we have ever experienced! The sweet peas are bursting with flavor and enhance this guac profoundly. Make sure to throw in their exquisite homemade Fresno Pepper Vinaigrette on it.

The Maitake Mushrooms with Goat Cheese & Fresno Pepper Vinaigrette is another marvelous dish! This goat cheese is mild and addictive. The Fresno Vinaigrette it is drenched in is the perfect pairing! Feel free to slurp the plate dry 😉

Another of our faves is the Black Truffle and Fontina Cheese Pizza. A thin, crispy and tantalizing mixture. Can you guess that we love the Fresno Vinaigrette on this too.

Matador Room is open Sunday through Thursday from 10am to 11pm and Friday and Saturday from 9am to 12am. Matador Bar is open Sunday through Thursday from 6pm to 2am and Friday and Saturday from 6pm to 3am.
