Make Your Own Sushi on International Sushi Day

Sometimes we just want to make our own food, kinda like Kramer (from Seinfeld) and his make your own pizza restaurant idea. In true Japanese honor of the holy International Sushi Day on Thursday June 18SUSHISAMBA Miami Beach and Coral Gables invites you to get creative and make your own sushi.

For one night only, guests will have the chance to handcraft the “perfect” nigiri sushi.  For $18 per person, guests (2 guest minimum to participate) will receive all the make your own sushi essentials:

  • Fresh raw fish: tuna, salmon, yellowtail, shrimp and the sushi chef’s choice of the freshest market catch fish of the day
  • Nigiri mesh: 5 balls of freshly cooked rice, ready to roll
  • Additional nigiri must haves: 5 “samba” sauces, an assortment of 5 fruits and vegetables, sea salt, sesame and nori (seaweed) strips

Things to know…

  • A SUSHISAMBA server will provide step-by-step guidance.
  • Nigiri, translated from Japanese, is thin slices of raw fish pressed by hand into a pad of rice and served with nori (seaweed).
  • This shall be fun.

Just remember to intensely berate the worthless “Chef” if you are unhappy with your sushi.
