La Estación American Brasserie – Happy Hour

Virgin MiamiCentral is the new hub for all things transportation, leisure, business, and spans over six Downtown Miami city blocks. It features rental residences, offices, retail space, and a food and transit hub. Juvia Group brings a tasty new addition to the location with their latest restaurant, La Estación American Brasserie. A casual eatery serving American classics with a French twist. Their menu offers salads, burgers, pasta, even sushi rolls, but my favorite is the Happy Hour menu that allows me to try innovative drinks and scrumptious fare at a great price.

Cocktails are only $6-$7, but look absolutely priceless. I’m mesmerized by the Glamour ( Elder Raspberry Vodka, Syllbar Prosecco, Fresh Raspberry, Grapefruit and Lime Juice). The gorgeous red blend comes served in an elegant glass, but instead of a cherry on top, a big sphere of ice. As it melts it reveals a beautiful and real rose inside it. Worthy of a V-day Celebration but I’ll take such romance any day…

Another favorite is the Summer Lychee ( Ketel One Botanical Grapefruit & Rose Vodka Giffard Lychee Liquor, Lime Juice, Lychee Purée). Though less extravagant, the presentation remains stunning. The sweet, white liquid simply topped with raspberries and a cocktail skewer in the shape of a heart. It’s love at first taste and sight. There’s also a selection of wines, from rosé to sparkling, and beer. Ranging from $4 for a pint or $14 for a pitcher.

It’s no secret that Miami has some great happy hour specials throughout. Though, La Estación’s drinks on their own are worth of a visit, this foodie needs some delicious bites to truly make it a “happy” hour and not just content. But I’m not exaggerating when I say I’m overjoyed with this menu. Letting you pair enticing libations with BBQ Baby Back Ribs or Cheeseburger Sliders for only $9.

To share ( or devour on your own, we’re not judging!) the Charcuterie Board $14 and Cheese Board $13 are perfect palette entertainers. Offering different textures and styles of cheese and meat. The Truffle Fries $6 or Fingerling Potatoes $5 also make a great table snack. Or the Fried Calamari $9, with crispy breading, a soft meaty inside, and tartare sauce on the side. A must try is the Croque Monsieur $7. This buttery, melty sandwich with artisanal ham and mornay sauce inside has shown up in my dreams a few times since… But my favorite of all are the Deviled Eggs $4 topped with salmon roe and soy wasabi. They’re served with roasted crostinis to give a little crunch to the silky eggs.
