The inaugural Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival, which will feature culinary creations and libations from local restaurants, craft spirit brands, wineries and breweries, today announced its event schedule, official partners and restaurant participants. The Festival, which takes place from Wednesday, March 20 – Sunday, March 24, 2019, in Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale, FL, will benefit Feeding South Florida and showcase Broward County’s renowned and emerging chefs and restaurateurs and highlight the culinary renaissance that is currently sweeping through Broward County.

The CIRC Hotel, a modern, boutique hotel located close to ArtsPark at Young Circle in the heart of Hollywood, FL, is the official hotel partner CIRC Hotel offers a trendy yet affordable option for enjoying the Festival responsibly. Ocean Wine & Spirits, Fort Lauderdale Beach’s premier fine wine, liquor and craft beer store, has been named the official retail sponsor of the Festival and will have on-site presence throughout the weekend’s events.  In addition, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital has been named the presenting partner of Family Day on Sunday, March 24th.

Chef Angelo Elia, owner of the Angelo Elia Restaurant Group which includes Casa D’Angelo, Angelo Elia Pizza, Bar & Tapas and The Bakery Bar, and Broward County’s premiere chef, will serve as the Host Chef of the inaugural Festival. During the Grand Tasting event, he is planning unique cooking demonstrations and more to wow guests and spectators.  Allied Kitchen Bath is presenting the Culinary Stage and Demo Kitchen, and Chef Ramos from the Conrad Hotel is the host and celebrity judge of the Sunday kids cooking competition.

Event: Cocktail Confidential: A Spirited Affair (7 – 9 p.m.)

Location: Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach Atlas Cocktail Lounge – 551 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd., Fort Lauderdale Beach, FL

This ‘Spirited Affair’ will feature signature cocktails and bites that will take guests on a culinary journey to be remembered.

  

Friday, March 22

Event: GFL on the Rise: An Elevated Culinary Experience (6 p.m. – 9 p.m.)

Location: The Atlantic Hotel & Spa, Ocean View Terrace – 601 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd., Fort Lauderdale Beach, FL

Partners: The Atlantic Hotel & Spa; Lifestyle Media Group; Society 8 Hospitality Group; Wandering wines; and Maison Belle Claire

Tickets: $85-150

Saturday, March 23

Event: Grand Tasting (1 p.m. – 5 p.m.)

Location: ArtsPark Hollywood- 1 North Young Circle, Hollywood, FL

Tickets: Early bird special rates for General Admission tickets range from $60 – $75 *

Early bird special rates for VIP tickets range from $95 – $125*

(*Early bird ticket prices go up in price on February 20 and March 23)

The Grand Tasting event features tastings, chef demonstrations, cooking demos, live music and more; a portion of all proceeds from the Grand Tasting on Saturday will be donated to Feeding South Florida.

 

Sunday, March 24

Event: Family Day & Food Drive (12 p.m. – 5 p.m.)

Location: ArtsPark Hollywood- 1 North Young Circle, Hollywood, FL

Partner: Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital

 

Tickets: This FREE event promises to be fun-filled with local food trucks, live music and children’s activities including a kid’s cooking competition.  All ages welcomed. Food and beverage are a la carte.
