FRYEDAYS Takes Over FRYE Atlanta Starring Devon Gilfillian
The FRYEDAYS music series took over The FRYE Company’s popular Ponce City Market location in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday, May 2nd. Guests sipped on Bulleit signature juicy sweet cocktails while enjoying an exclusive in-store performance from Devon Gilfillian. Much thanks to Bulleit for sponsoring this event!
America’s original trustworthy leather footwear store, The FRYE Company, is always pleased to host FRYEDAYS events across the country. Because artisans use only the finest leathers, FRYE is known for pushing the most iconic styles since the 60s. It’s store front is adorned by hundreds of gorgeous gold leather straps. At the bottom of these shiny straps are gold buckles gleaming over your head. The smell of leathery goodness welcome you to browse their new spring/summer collection. Clearly, FRYE offers only the best crafted leather products, undoubtedly made to last many years.
Bulleit Libations:
Guests were treated to hand-crafted Bulleit cocktails and crisp Wild Heaven beer throughout this intimate performance. In fact, each cocktail was inspired by Devon’s songs. The Bulleit High Rye ‘N Dry is a delicious sweet blend of Bulleit Rye, Apple Butter Syrup, Topo Chico, Yogurt, and Bubble Tea Pearls. This rye ended with a honeyed marble finish, topped with a slither of Candied Blood Orange. In contrast, the Bulleit Bourbon Truth was a tarte concoction of Bulleit Bourbon, Vanilla Honey, Fresh Grapefruit and Pomegranate. The Fresh Thyme in this juicy cocktail makes you want to shamelessly indulge in a second or third round.
Devon Gilfillian provided sweet tunes for the night as guests sipped on their bourbon libations. Hailing from Nashville, Devon and his band were jaw-droppingly impressive! He can also be spotted modeling for FRYE’s FW18 campaign: The Original. The Authentic. The Only. Truly, Devon belts out a soulful killer voice. His stage presence is mesmerizing and blends perfectly with the band’s tantalizing soft-rock groove. Once those electrifying, soulful, indie-rock guitar vibrations hit the ceiling, dozens of cell phone cameras raised up to capture the moment. And, the bassist’s style was much appreciated. He carried a strong well-dressed Nashville look. The audience was totally diggin’ it.

About Devon Gilfillian:
Devon Gilfillian fires twin barrels of gospel-blues and southern soul on his debut EP. The songs shine a light on this young songwriter fueled by groove, guitar, and powerful voice. The artist grew up outside of Philadelphia and absorbs everything from the R&B swagger of Al Green and Ray Charles, to the rock & roll heroics of Jimi Hendrix. Gilfillian is now based in Nashville and puts a personalized stamp on those childhood influences. He rolls them into five original songs that showcase his talent as a songwriter, singer, and instrumentalist.
