Fountainebleau Restaurants Host Miami Spice Dine Around

The most delicious time of the year is here, Miami Spice is knocking on the door! Fountainebleau Restaurants offer some of the hottest Miami Spice menus and we had the opportunity to try out some of the best offerings from the best in the business. Our progressive dinner at the Fountainebleau restaurants included the restaurants Hakkasan, Scarpetta, Stripsteak by Michael Mina, and Chez Bon Bon. From cocktails through 3 course Spice Menu’s, we’ve got the low down on what to order at Miami Spice 2016. When you combine Fountainebleau Restaurants and Miami Spice, you get unprecedented value that culminates in Foodie Heaven!

Hakassan

The cocktail served was one of my favorites. It had a powerful ginger flavor that delivered a nice spicy punch. I could have drank this all night! So be sure to start off your Miami Spice experience with this ginger sensation.

We started off the night at Hakkasan with their Miami Spice Dim Sum Prix-Fixe menu. The Dim Sum Basket came with a Lotus Root Mushroom Chicken Shui Mai Dumpling, a Spinach Scallop Dumpling, and a Black Rice Vegetable Dumpling. The vibrant colors of the dumplings are appealing as you uncover the pot of steamed dumplings nestled next to one another.

The Jasmine Tea Smoked Chicken with Soy Sauce came with a side order of Stir Fried Baby Pak Choi that was prepared with Garlic. The chicken was slightly sweet and had a distinct flavor that came from the inclusion of jasmine tea. I loved the element of smokey flavors in the meat and the umami that the soy sauce brings to the table.

Scarpetta

Our next Fountainebleau Restaurant on the list was Scott Conant’s Scarpetta. Our welcome cocktail to try their Miami Spice menu was the Sorrento, which came with Oxley Gin, House-Made Limoncello and Basil.

The Roasted Branzino is a divine Miami Spice entree option at Scarpetta. The Branzino came served with Artichokes, Olives, and Anchonvy & Tomato Dressing. The fish was extremely crispy on the skin side, while soft and flaky on the fleshy side. Simple yet elegantly prepared fish.

The Spaghetti is prepared with Tomatoes and Basil. The house made pasta was chewy and though there were only few ingredients in the pasta, this is THE BEST pure spaghetti dish I have ever had! The simple ingredients were elevated and prepared to extract optimum flavors. To me, this is what Miami Spice is about, ordering the best dishes at some of the best restaurants in South Florida at reasonable prices. The value for this Spaghetti dish is strong because eating pasta at Scarpetta is an eye opening experience!

Stripsteak by Michael Mina

Our last stop in the trio of Fountainebleu Restaruants was Stripsteak by Michael Mina. The name itself is inviting for meat lovers like myself. The cocktail to start off our final stop was my favorite of the night. With a thinly sliced peach inserted within the cocktail glass, the hints of peach in the cocktail was delicious. The drink was more of the sipping type where you could enjoy the flavor of the alcohol.

It’s not often I mention complimentary bread when speaking of restaurants, but Stripsteak serves a bread, on the house, that is orgasmic! Take advantage of these two months of Miami Spice to try this iconic starter bread! Truffle butter is nestled within the bread so when you pull a piece (or three) of bread the butter is already melting away and oozing within.

We started off at Stripsteak with a Miami Spice starter salad, the Lacinato Kale, essentially a kale salad that came with shaved parmesan, pickled tomato, and a killer anchovy dressing!

Stripsteak has the best Filet Mignon I’ve ever had! The Wood Grilled Filet Mignon came with a side order of Jewel Jam Puree, Charred Rapini, and Port Wine Jus. Describing the tenderness of the filet can qualify as food porn. The exterior developed an excellent crust while the inside was soft like butter. The wood that the filet was grilled on imparted a noticeably smokey flavor. The Jewel Jam Puree was an exceptional pairing with the steak. The puree was soft, creamy, airy and slightly sweet. I tasted hints of sweet potato and butternut squash.
