Decadence NYE – The Lineup

Decadence NYE 2017 – The Lineup

Whats up you amazing Hedonists and Shedonisits?!? Hobby here, bringing you another Top 10 lineup for the biggest electronic music festival on New Year’s Eve. Of course I am speaking of Decadence NYE 2017.  This annual gathering in Denver, Colorado hosts the biggest names in electronic music. The folks at Global Dance save the best for last to make sure you end the year on the right foot. 2017 has been a tough year for a lot of us, remember, it’s not how you start but how you finish that matters most. I can’t think of a better way to move past it then to dance the night away with 10,000 of your closest friends.

Get ready for 2 giant stages, a massive silent disco and a lineup where everyone’s a headliner. This event has something for every human being with ears and a soul to enjoy. All of this is going down in the Denver Convention center in the heart of the city. If you haven’t made plans for the end of the year, let me help you with that decision. Decadence NYE 2017, a City Beyond Tomorrow beckons you to join, so answer the call.

Decadence NYE 2017 – The Lineup – Top 10 Acts to See

Odesza – A staple for this event that nobody, especially me, is complaining about. This will be my 3rd year spending the holiday with the boys from the North West and I couldn’t be more excited about it. With the 2017 release of their new album, A Moment Apart, Harrison and Clayton are on fire pushing their show to new levels. More percussions, lights and lasers accompany a full sound which Odesza has always been known for. I unfortunately missed their weekend at Red Rocks this year, so hoping to make up for it at Decadence NYE 2017!!  Who’s ready to ring in the new year to the unreleased trap song?

Gramatik – I love Gramatik, I really do. He’s on a creative super mission with no end in site. Releasing a new album every year while touring worldwide is no easy feat, but that’s just what he does. He just released a 6 song EP, RE:Coil Pt 1 and you ask what’s next? How about his own cryptocurrency, GRMTK. What comes after you create your own currency?!  Not sure the answer but excited to watch and see. Unforgettable set of the weekend, calling it now.

Big Gigantic – If you haven’t had the chance to ring in the New year with Big G, you’re in for a treat.  The high energy created by Dom and Jeremy is the perfect vibration to rage face first, into the “New year New me” mentality. A Brighter future couldn’t be a more fitting title for the duo who reside here in Colorado. With songs from their new album showing up everywhere in everyday life, like commercials for Apple, it’s impossible to deny Big G’s momentum gain. After catching their Life Is Beautiful performance in Las Vegas, I hope they repeat the same style it here at home.

Louis The Child – Currently on their Last to Leave tour, Robert and Frederic have showed they will be just that, the last to leave. From humble beginnings to a ridiculously packed tour, Louis the child are non – stop on their mission to spread their sound to the masses. Headlining a 32 show tour this year is intense, but these boys are more then happy to oblige. Very excited for this set because I love everything they are about. Their Instagram is one of my favorites (@LouisTheChild) because they are always pushing the lines of creativity. Decadence NYE 2017 just keeps getting better and better.

Galantis – This duo of extremely talented Swedes have a laundry list of hits. Combining forces they created Galantis, a Sweedish house music duo with a more then distinct sound. Be prepared to shake your booty cause these boys demand you to groove. Everyone in the building is sure to get down to Galantis with their upbeat bass heavy house sound. Get up and spread your love around like peanut butter and jelly, don’t be shy. Grab a friend or make five new ones and get ready to ring in the new year jumping around like a crazy person.

Armin Van Buuran – What’s New Year’s Eve without the Feels?! All I know, it’s nothing I want to experience. Thanks to the reality that will be Decadence NYE 2017, we don’t need to worry about that. I give you the king of the feels, Armin Van Buuran. Armin has the power to make a crowd tear up, then jump uncontrollably seconds later. It’s a sight I first witnessed at Tomorrowworld when he commanded it from 90,000 people at the main stage. It’s my opinion that “This is What It feels Like” is one of the greatest festival songs of all time. To share that moment at Decadence NYE 2017 would be a truly magical moment. It’s been a couple years since I have had the pleasure, it would be be the best possible end to 2017.

Bassnectar – Get ready for epic levels of bass and mind melting visuals. Pro warning, Make sure you bring your ear protection for this one, it seems to get louder every year. Lorin is a wonderful staple on the Decadence list of superstars. If this is your first time seeing Bassnectar, prepare to engage in a life altering experience. Love him, worship or hate him, doesn’t matter. I have seen him at least 20 times and every show was different. Inside the convention center the bass will encapsulate your entire being, so at least be ready for that. Together we will sit back and transcend as Bassnectar guides us closer to 2018.

Get Real –  First of all, who doesn’t enjoy a good two for one deal when it comes to live events?! This New Years we get Claude VonStroke and Green Velvet, joining forces with Get Real.  A rarity for them becomes a big treat for all of us in attendance. I just saw both of these house music pioneers separately in 2017. However, this will be my first time seeing Get Real so I’m not sure what to expect. I do know I’m very excited for a new experience with two seasoned pros. Experiencing new energies is a huge part of festival life, this is one I’m ready for. #HouseMusicAllNight

Justice – Lace up your boogie shoes and get ready for funky town party people. This French electro-house duo is bringing their indie like electronic style to the City beyond Tomorrow. With a completely unique sound, this one of a kind set will bring some light into the vast darkness of the Denver convention center. It’s time to get your crew together and dance, dance like nobody’s watching.

Borgore – With all the bright sunny house music on the list, I had to include the dark head banging sounds of Borgore. Coming to us From Tel Aviv, Israel, this multidimensional wonk producer has the crutchy, grimey sounds your ears are begging to hear. Colorado festival folk LOVE their dark, bass heavy beats and Borgore will give them what they crave. Borgore has been making giant strides in his musical adventure, collaborating with everyone from Miley Cyrus to G-Easy. I think this will be a wonderful contrast to some of the other performers at Decadence. To achieve festival balance, we  must equate the best of all worlds in peaceful harmony. It will be magical to watch the crowd lose their minds as they dance their asses into 2018.

If you have made plans already, then I wish you a Happy New Year and hope it brings you all the love and prosperity you deserve. However, if you have not, come get crazy with us in the City Beyond Tomorrow, Decadence NYE 2017.  Hope to see you there!!!
