What could be better than a cup of coffee, a chocolate chip cookie, and a kitty to snuggle? Crumbs and Whiskers has just opened their LA doors to make all your relaxing, kitty filled afternoon fantasies come true!

Creator and owner, Kanchan, was inspired by Thailand’s cat cafes. With her corporate background, she merged her love of business and her LOVE for animals into a cat lovers dream. She intertwined conscious business, animal welfare, and design to make Crumbs and Whiskers.

Maybe you are asking yourself what exactly is a cat cafe? Well, Crumbs and Whiskers houses kitties and cats from Karma Rescue. Crumbs and Whiskers fosters cats until they are adopted out, which means these cats can be removed from shelters and placed into a comfortable, nurturing, and fun environment until they meet their furrever human. All the cats you see and snuggle with at the cafe are up for adoption. Which means, if you fall in love with one, you can actually take your furry friend home! The afternoon I stopped by, I witnessed an adorable elderly couple adopt a cat to complete their family.

To visit Crumbs and Whiskers, all you need to do is make a reservation. A weekday reservation costs $22 and a weekend reservation costs $25. These reservations last 75 minutes each, plenty of snuggling time. Upon arrival, there are a few rules to be mindful of. These include being gentle and be careful not to wake sleeping cats, just to name a couple. All the rules are fairly self-explanatory.

Upon stepping into this kitty paradise, you’ll wonder if life is real. You’ll be overwhelmed by cats playing, sleeping, climbing, and being just generally adorable. You have the opportunity to order coffees, teas, and cookies. With every purchase you make, you help shelter a cat in need.
