Cindy Lou’s Cookies is a very special gourmet cookie wholesaler opening in November 2016 in the vibrant Little River District of Miami. At the moment, they only sell their handmade, artisan cookies to a handful of top restaurant accounts, such as all Panther Coffee shops. For the very first time, instead of sharing a rented kitchen in South Beach, Cindy Lou’s Cookies are opening up their very own production facility. They have started a Kickstarter campaign that will help them financially handle many unexpected cost overruns of opening their wholesale kitchen, but most importantly, make some of their rarest cookies (and masterclass baking sessions with Cindy Lou herself) available as rewards to their Kickstarter backers and the general public for the first time ever.
Cindy Lou’s Cookies are big, classic, seriously delicious, gourmet cookies that are intended to warm the heart and nourish the soul. Five ounces in weight, they are lovingly baked every single morning with the utmost care out of the best ingredients available. They’re soft, gooey, chewy, not too sweet, perfectly salty, savory and very special – there is no other cookie in Miami like Cindy Lou’s. But it’s not just one cookie, it’s over 30 mouthwatering varieties!
Cindy is turning to Kickstarter not only as a way to help fund opening her wholesale business, but as a way to build something wonderful and delicious – an incredible new cookie community in Miami’s hottest up and coming neighborhood, Little River. A place where after she gets the wholesale business situated, for the first time ever, Cindy Lou’s Cookies will be directly available to the general public. Kickstarter funds will be used to help complete the construction and shop build-out. The funds will also go towards start-up capital to help her grow from a “one woman show” into a full scale wholesale establishment with real employees and a delivery truck.
Cindy’s goals are sweet and simple, she wants to build solid relationships with her supporters and become an integral part of the growing artisan community that is putting Miami on the map as one of the most vibrant, exciting and delicious food destinations in the world. Along the way, it wouldn’t hurt to try and make the world a better place one big chewy cookie at a time. She believes in the value of doing good and giving back.
