Cava Grill, a DC favorite for healthy fast, casual dining, has officially taken root in LA. Started by three childhood friends, Ike Grigoropoulos, Chef Dimitri Moshovitis, and Ted Xenohristos, Cava Grill celebrates the flavors of their families’ traditional Greek and Mediterranean cooking. With an emphasis on ingredient transparency, Cava sources locally, so their ingredients are always fresh.

The menu is extensive with options to build your own Mediterranean bowl, and there is something for everyone. How does the process of ordering at Cava work? Well, you start with a base—salad, grains, pita, or a combination. You then go on to add your personal selection of dips, spread, proteins, toppings, and dressings. Your bowl can be as adventuresome or simple as you like! With protein choices ranging from grilled chicken, to spicy lamb meatballs, to falafel, you control how spicy your bowl is. I don’t mind spice, so I like to add the Harissa dip to my bowl. It is a a traditional spicy table spread made from tomatoes, red pepper flakes, and cilantro. Another favorite is the Tzatziki, made with Greek yogurt, fresh shredded cucumber, dill and garlic.

And Cava’s dips are so beloved that you can find them in grocery stores all across the country! And soon, they’ll be coming to California Whole Foods.

Be sure to also try one of Cava Grill’s delicious juices or teas. I am in love with their Watermelon Mint juice. So refreshing, it is the perfect summer drink. It is just one of their many seasonal items. Because their ingredients are so local and fresh, be prepared for new delicious offerings often.

Cava Grill

Cava Grill makes eating healthy affordable, accessible, and most importantly, delicious. I’m so glad Cava has made its way to the West Coast.

Currently open in Westwood Village, the Village at Topanga, and coming soon to Culver City, Santa Monica, and Venice.
