Calle 23 Brings A Taste of Havana to Miami

Calle 23 Brings A Taste of Havana to Miami

Get transported to the streets of Havana at Calle 23 through music, culture, cocktails and food. The Cuban restaurant is located in Coral Gables’ Miracle Mile. With an outdoor seating area perfect to observe the bustling boulevard. And a lively indoors full of color, Art Deco accents, and neon lights. Calle 23’s celebratory vibe make it tempting to leave the table for a dance. But the food is almost impossible to walk way from. Both the atmosphere and flavors are bold, vibrant and exquisite.

Drinks & Cocktails

Head to the bar for classic rum cocktails, such as the Daiquiri and Mojito. With four flavor options: guava, mango, passion fruit or strawberry. Signature drinks include La Callejera ( Vanilla Infused Appleton Reserve Blend Rum, Crème De Mure, Red Wine Reduction, Citrus ) and El Caballero Old Fashioned ( Zacapa 23 Rum, Cynar, Black Cardamon, Café-cocoa bitters, Dark Chocolate Flakes). My personal favorite is the Coco Loco ( Havana Añejo Blanco Rum, Coconut, Condensed Milk, Guava Puree, Citrus, Mint and Cinnamon ), a sweet fusion of some of the tastiest staple ingredients of the island. The bar also serves beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages so everyone can drink up!

Starters

The menu is divided into three sections: small, medium and big plates. Though all are perfect for sharing. We recommend starting with Chorizo Croquetas ( Citrus Aioli, Bread Crumbs Béchamel ). And the Burrata ( Guava Marmalade, Roasted Red Pepper Salad, Crunchy Bread ) is also a must. This unique variation has been one of my favorites yet. Loving the slightly sweet flavor from the guava and smoky taste from the roasted pepper. Also worth mentioning is the Ceviche De Corvina ( Leche De Tigre, Avocado, Mango ) which had me gulping the citrusy marinade to the last drop.

Entrées

Dig into a juicy Churrasco with Charcoal Chimichurri and Signature Fries cooked to preference. Or Braised Short Rib with Sweet Potato Purée and Caramelized Carrots. Calle 23 also serves classics like Paella Traditional and Arroz Con Pollo. And a perfect Pan Fried Corvina, that is soft, flaky, and oozing with flavor. Pair it with sides like Maduros, Tostones and Yuca Frita. And finish your meal on a sweet note with choices like Banofe Cake, Flan, and Tres Leches.
