Beautiful Beachfront Brunch at Wild Thyme Oceanside Eatery
Wild Thyme Oceanside Eatery is an elegant and exquisite restaurant located inside of The Atlantic Hotel & Spa in Fort Lauderdale. Upon entering the chic and vibrant restaurant, I looked over to see the wondrous view of Fort Lauderdale Beach. Brunching with a beachfront view should be on everyone’s summer to-do list and Wild Thyme Oceanside Eatery is the place to do it.
The Brunch Thyme menu has a preset price per adult with various options to please all different types of taste buds. There are four different food stations along with six different flowing small plates to choose from. Guests can enjoy as much food as they please for one very affordable price. There’s also an option to add bottomless Mimosas, Bellini’s and Blood Mary’s. After all, a real brunch experience isn’t complete without some drinks.
Food Stations
The food stations at Wild Thyme Oceanside Eatery are exceptional. Offering a Fresh Fruits & Breads station, Salad Bar, Omelet Bar and Chaffing & Carving Station. I started off with an omelet. The topping options included peppers, onions, mushrooms, spinach, sundried tomato, broccoli, assorted cheese, bacon, sausage, and shrimp. The chef was so nice and passionately cooked my omelet to my liking and ensured I was satisfied with the outcome.
Next, I visited the Chaffing & Carving Station. The Drunken Mussels were my favorite! They were perfectly seasoned and some of the best mussels I’ve ever had. I also really enjoyed the Alfredo Mushroom Orecchiette. They also offered Chicken Bianca and Season Vegetables at this station.
Flowing Small Plates
The stations were excellent, but the flowing small plates were even better. The best dish on the menu was the Banana Foster French Toast. You MUST try this! It’s the best Banana Foster French Toast I’ve ever tasted and I loved it so much I ordered a second plate of it. Their banana foster sauce is sweet, but not too sweet, making it such a delicacy to eat. Sometimes sauces like this are way too sweet, but Wild Thyme Oceanside Eatery has found the perfect balance. The Short Rib Eggs Benedict was also a big hit. The short rib was extremely tender and juicy, melting in my mouth with every bite. The flavor was remarkable.
Other options offered on the Brunch Thyme menu include Chicken & Waffles, Elvis Peanut Butter & Bacon French Toast, Nutella Pancakes and Sunday Meatballs. Sweets offered to end the brunch experience include cookies, brownies and fresh fruit.
