Bodega Taqueria y Tequila is now shaking things up in Downtown Fort Lauderdale! It’s no doubt that the world has seen a tremendous change in how we live, consume, and enjoy nightlife since this global pandemic hit us exactly one year ago. As we are moving into a place of “normalcy” again, happy hours, live music events, and indoor dining are back on the map and Bodega Taqueria y Tequila has us covered from their infamous South Beach location and now to the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale for all of South Florida to enjoy.
Through the year, Bodega South Beach has received incredible accolades and is well known with locals as one Miami’s favorite spots for late-night eats and good vibes. With weekly events and special offers, both Bodega locations are bringing the much needed life back into our lives this year. The new Fort Lauderdale location emulates exactly what we know and love. Inside the taqueria, guests are led to Bodega’s late-night speakeasy through the “secret” backdoor – the perfect spot for happy hour, daytime fun, and late-night debauchery – that features an extensive cocktail menu and live music by local bands and DJs. The main difference between the speakeasy at South Beach and in Fort Lauderdale is that Fort Lauderdale’s layout features some open air with a side entrance directly to the lounge.

The Fort Lauderdale location features the same menu with the same bold flavors that put the orignial South Beach location in everyone’s hearts. For those who’ve never tried thier tacos yet, here is our list of favorite menu items to try!
Top Appetizers are the Elote (on a stick or in a cup) made with Chili Crema, Cotija, Chipotle, and Cilantro, the Loaded Carne Asada Nachos with Grilled Rib Eye steak, Chili Queso, Cotija, Red onion, tomoato, cilantro, chili crema, and sliced jalepeno.
Top Tacos are definitley the Barbacoa with braised short rib, charred onion, cotija, salsa rosada, potatoe sticks, and cilantro; the Pescado with grilled mahi, charred pineapple, purple cabbage, pickeled red onion, cilantro, and chipotle cotija dressing; and the Camaron al Coco with Coconut shrimp, mango pico, potatoe sticks, salsa rolsada, and cilantro.

It’s a whole new kind of Taco Tuesday! From 6 PM to 8 PM guests can enjoy $2 Classic Tacos at the tacqueria and the backdoor lounge with additional drink specials.
WEDNESDAYS
Live Music Wednesdays! Every Wednesday the lounge will feature local bands and artists on the carpet, starting at 7:30 PM until closing. It’s such a magnificent blast to the senses and feels like you’ve stopped out of South Florida and right into a bar in Nashville. The live music scene has always been slightly lacking in South Florida, but Bodega has brought the fun weekly at both their South Beach and Fort Lauderdale locations. Among artists like Sekond Nature, Remyz, and the Blindspots Band, Flowvox has also taken the carpet a few times this year and we’ve loved their energetic energy playing covers of all the jams we grew up listening to and truly transports you to an internal happy place.
THURSDAYS
Start the weekend early with the girls! It’s all about the ladies at Bodega from 6 PM to Midnight. Ladies can enjoy a complimentary first drink and $5 Signature Cocktails all night. The perfect spot for a lively atmosphere paired with delicious cocktails.
Bodega Taqueria y Tequila Fort Lauderdale is welcoming guests every day of the week, open until 12 AM Sunday through Wednesday, 1 AM on Thursdays and 3 AM on Friday and Saturdays. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 6 PM to 8 PM, which is probably the most amazing happy hour window EVER for those in the area who work past 5pm. The taqueria also features a Weekend Brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 AM to 4 PM with $40 bottomless Margaritas, Mimosas, or Rose where guests can enjoy special items like Breakfast Tacos, Avocado Tostada, and Loaded Pollo Asado Nachos.
