Vivant Skincare Skin Fitness System Review

It’s no secret I’m quite partial to Vivant Skincare. Most people I’ve met that have used Vivant Skincare are as devoted as I am.  In fact, the Hedonist tried my Green Tea Antioxidant cleanser and was absolutely hooked! I can’t say I blame him. If your skin could talk it, would go “ahhhh” as the refreshing gel is massaged into it. Thank goodness a little goes a long way! Even with my boyfriend hogging the bottle lasted for months!

When it was time for me to re-up, however, something else caught my eye. I’ve been hearing some buzz about Mandelic Acid, but wasn’t sure if it was right for me. Mandelic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid made from bitter almonds.

Here are some benefits in a nutshell:

  • Increases cell turnover for a more youthful appearance
  • Softens the appearance of lines and wrinkles
  • Improves skin texture
  • Lighten areas that have darkened in response to skin damage and sun exposure.
  • Causes less redness, flaking and skin irritation than other alpha hydroxy acids.

I’ve got pretty good skin overall, but I had some discoloration and little marks from blemishes I would be happy to be rid of.  I really wanted to even out my skin tone, so I thought I would give it a shot. Besides, it was time for an upgrade. It was at that moment that Vivant Skincare just rolled out a new Skin Fitness System that includes literally everything you need to “whip your skin into shape.”

Skin Fitness System

The Skin Fitness System features a cleanser, toner, corrector and hydrator, key components in any skincare regimen:

  • Mandelic Acid 3-in-1 Wash: controls bacteria, lifts pigment and opens impacted pores.
  • 3% Mandelic Acid 3-in-1 Toner: an anti-bacterial toner that exfoliates dead skin cells and lifts off brown discolorations.
  • 8% Mandelic Acid 3-in-1 Serum: a corrective serum which helps reverse the visible signs of aging, improves uneven pigmentation and flushes out impacted pores.
  • Day Treatment Lotion SPF 15: protect your skin from environmental damage and moisture loss with Vivant’s ultralight, non-irritating, non-comedogenic daily moisturizer and sunscreen

So, what’s the verdict? I love it! All the little brown spots from old zits and blemishes that plagued me are gone.  In fact, one little pimple I would get right in the middle of my chin  around that time of the month have yet to show its sebaceous little head. My skin tone has been evening up more and more so I use less and less makeup.

So will I give up on my Vivant Skincare Green Tea? Nope… and the great news is, I don’t have to. I alternate when I want to give my skin a nice antioxidant boost. That Mandelic Acid tho…. that’s here to stay. 🙂
