I started off with one of their irresistible baked goods and paired it with their Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte. The citrus of the nectarine in my treat balanced so well with the creaminess of the latte. It was a true match. Because both were not too sweet, I felt refreshed rather than sugared out.

Now onto the dish that stole the show! They call it the Monk Bowl. This dish is full of so many flavors and textures, your taste buds will be dreaming about it for days! It’s almost as if Mother Nature made this bowl herself! The presentation of this bold and colorful nutritious dish and its clever combinations of flavors blew my mind.  The base grain is black rice with a hint of sesame. On top is an assortment of colorful foods and flavors. My favorites were the little roasted baby yellow patties (squash), kimchi radish, seasoned nori, marinated swiss chard, salted cucumbers, steamed leafy greens, and the oozing soft-boiled egg.
