Sprinkles Cupcakes, the World’s First Cupcake Bakery, Thrills the Taste Buds

Sprinkles Cupcakes, created by Candace Nelson and the inspiration for most cupcake bakeries, continues to innovate and change the face of cupcakes both in Los Angeles and nationwide.

I officially moved to Los Angeles last weekend…and what’s one of the first things I do? I check out the world’s original cupcake bakery in Beverly Hills, that’s what! Sprinkles Cupcakes are handcrafted from the freshest, finest ingredients. All are topped with the Sprinkles trademark modern dot.

Sprinkles offers a variety of flavors, ranging from traditional Milk Chocolate and Red Velvet to more adventuresome flavors like Chai Latte, Pumpkin, and Doggie Friendly Cupcakes.

One of my boyfriend’s favorite flavors is the Chocolate Marshmallow—chocolate cupcake over chocolate cake filled with marshmallow. It is heavenly.

Personally, I love the Cuban Coffee Cupcake best. Coming from Miami, I can attest, this cupcake is the real deal. It tastes like Calle Ocho.

Sprinkles also features a flavor of the month. This month’s is the Casamigo Margarita Cupcake. And I kid you not, this cupcake cake tastes just like a margarita. I could even taste the salt on the rim of it. This key lime cake is loaded with George Clooney and Rande Gerber’s Casamigos Blanco Tequila and topped with key lime frosting.

Sprinkles also totes cake mix, so you can attempt to make your own gourmet cupcakes at home.

And next door, Sprinkles has an adjoining storefront where you can get a cupcake ice cream sundae. What could taste better than ice cream between a cupcake? It is like a birthday party in a cup! They offer a variety of sundaes ranging from cupcake, to brownie, to even shakes and malts and shots! You can even get an ice cream cookie sandwich. Yes, not only does Sprinkles have cupcakes and ice cream, but they have brownies and cookies, too!

Truly it is dangerous that Sprinkles Beverly Hills is five minutes from my new apartment. Good thing Sprinkles also offers a loyalty program! Top perks include skipping the line entirely and a dozen free cupcakes on your birthday.

And if you’re in a rush or craving a cupcake at 3am, don’t fret. Sprinkles has a cupcake ATM! A robotic arm moves behind the scenes to select your freshly baked Sprinkles Cupcake at anytime, day or night.

With Sprinkles Cupcakes constantly creating new ways to love a cupcake, this cupcake craze will never die!
