Imagine Festival wrapped up their 3rd annual fest held at the gargantuan Atlanta Motor Speedway. Imagine Music Festival is an affordable three day fest with an Atlantis like aquatic theme. Imagine brought in over 50 electronic acts, including big time headliners like: Adventure Club, Borgore, Benny Benassi, Dillon Francis and Nero who had not toured in the US for over 3 years.

Imagine Festival offered more than just music. They built a 75 foot long wading pool so you could watch your fave DJs lounging in a pink flamingo blowup, hired hundreds of performers, which included some cirque like ones running like hamsters on wheels and dazzling girls swinging from silks. They also sprang for a ridiculously expensive and clear sound system.

I discovered 3 new bands who I absolutely love now: Lotus, EOTO & Papadosio were brilliant! Lotus is an instrumental electronic jam band that just rips it. Their cohesive and soothing tunes captivated me. Check out their live set below:

EOTO is one of the most interesting & original acts I have seen. EOTO is an electronic band consisting of Michael Travis and Jason Hann from the famous jam band The String Cheese Incident. These guys create live music every time without pre-recorded loops! They start jamming, record it and then loop it for the rest of their set, while playing on and around it. Every set is a different and spontaneous to some degree! They were freaking outstanding!!

Papadosio is hard to explain so I shall allow them to: “Falling somewhere between rock, jazz and electronic mayhem we find space rock. This is a genre that is not readily defined, and is a state of mind as much as it could be considered a genre. This range of frequencies is where Papadosio tends to spend their time, sometimes dining in deep space, and other times snacking right on your front porch. Papadosio strives to create music that is strangely familiar, and calls all walks of humanity to bask in a unique experience celebrating the one constant in an ever changing world” How can you not already love these guys?

It is not the music, the lights, the dancing or the party, but rather the people that make festivals so memorable and moving for me. Imagine Festival had some magical and loving souls I was lucky enough to discover. Meeting, bonding, dancing and hugging these warm affectionate people are always the highlight. We put together an album of the Beautiful people and souls of Imagine Festival:
