Prepare for a magnificent weekend of music, knowledge, movement and connections. Enchanted Forest Gathering returns to Black Oak Ranch in Laytonville, CA for its sixth run on July 22-24. Known for bringing its followers the best in music, workshops and enlightenment, Enchanted Forest Gathering is truly a festival that will leave you with more than you came.

EFG will be showcasing over 70 musical acts, sprawled over four meticulously designed stages. Shake your booty to famed Shpongle, groove to The Polish Ambassador, and bounce to melodic base duo PANTyRAiD. Festival-goers can also immerse themselves in space like trance sets by Hamsa Lila, and soar through a story-like journey with Ayla Nereo. A huge part of this festival that I really appreciate is their safe and alcohol-free environment. They’ve put a huge emphasis on their “Get saucy, not sauced!” policy. I’ve been to too many festivals recently, seeing people acting a mess, casually vomiting, and just going too far. Its one thing to celebrate and want to have fun but I think with the addition of alcohol (for lack of better words) amplifies the stupidity and recklessness. Its awesome to see a festival have a no alcohol policy to not only keep their attendees safe, but to truly let them experience the festival.

Enchanted Forest Gathering is famed for its inspirational speakers, fun movement and yoga workshops, and of course the premiere musicians it brings to the table. The festival prides itself on being a conduit for self-discovery, a place where people can connect and be their truest self. Connect with your crew at any of the three yoga, movement and flow art zones. EFG will be presenting 25+ yoga classes and three whole days of flow art and dance workshops. Enchanted Forest Gathering is all about self-expression and simply doing you.

Enchanted Forest Gathering your mind at one of the many enlightenment forums where open discussion meets inspiration. If you’re a yogi, you can’t miss the popular Yoga and Bass experience lead by yoga and meditation leader Claire Thompson, accompanied by DJ FreQ Nasty providing the bass. And of course you can’t forget the Flow Zone, where you can create magnificent color swirls and fiery funnels. This “festival within a festival,” is graciously provided by Flowtoys, Holistic Hooping, and Taho Fire Dancers.

There is so much to see and do at Enchanted Forest Gathering. If you want to take a break from the music there are over 60 educational workshops and forums to explore, covering topics like sexuality and relationships, science and spirituality, permaculture and ancestral arts, and plenty of health, wellness nutrition and nourishment. Have kids? No worries! There is an interactive Kids Village, complete with professional day care services and plenty of opportunities for your kids to learn and grow.

The festival’s focus is participant’s comfort, and they’re taking tons of measures to make sure its attendees are happy. Enchanted Forest Gathering prides itself on its healing sanctuaries, dance floors made of foam, shade and chill zones with Kombucha on tap, delicious and healthy food vendors, and of course artisan merchants.

Plus, in regards to preservation of the grounds and being grounded individuals. EFG has implemented numerous green initiatives, including the widespread use of solar power, plenty of recycling bins, and a renewable dish program. If you buy a ceramic teacup at the Tea Zone, you will receive free tea throughout the festival! Not bad for $5.
