Dark Shades Presents #NoChillParty

Have you ever walked into a party and the vibe is so good that it fills your entire heart? Well, if not, you’re in luck because there’s a new kind of party in town and it’s only just begun. Introducing, Dark Shades, a brand started by South Florida local DJ and Producer, David Pomareda aka TechNeekz with Co-Founder, Lee Neidorf and their team of some talented local DJs, consisting of Jovann Lopez (Takshak) Ian Allen (Burn1) Juan Salazar (E.R.N.E.S.T.O), Bryan Miraben (LEYVA), and John Clark (Chris Clark).

In a city consumed by big names, big clubs, and over priced drinks, the conception of Dark Shades was so effortlessly done when some of our fellow electronic music enthusiasts organized a party at David’s own home. Hosting Dirtybird Records and This Aint Bristol artists, Billy Kenny and Will Clarke with Sage Armstrong on back-to-back weekends. This opened the doors to meeting a community of like-minded individuals who all love the same music and the direction that house and techno music are headed.

In just a flash, Dark Shades went from a spontaneous Dirtybird/TAB house party with artists who were down and humble enough to party in our backyard (literally), into a frequent party platform for our favorite underground music scene to flourish. The goal was simply to have a place where new people and aspiring talents can meet and continue to grow together in an organic way. #NoChillParty gives the Dark Shades team an opportunity to be recognized through their music and fam-style brand while working with artists that have the same mentality of building genuine relationships and connections through really, really good music. The first Dark Shades Party was held at Commonwealth in Miami Beach with just the local crew. It wasn’t until their second party that special guests were added to the bill, which featured Dirtybird’s Lux Groove at the Dream Hotel’s rooftop pool. Followed by special guest, Sage Armstrong at their current hub, Wynwood 5th Ave.

One thing I can say with confidence is that these parties bring a vibe like no other. It truly feels like you’re at home with the gang, except your home is a pretty rowdy lounge in Wynwood with some great drink specials. Last month was their 4th edition at Wynwood 5th Ave, a fairly new multi-purpose entertainment venue with food, full bar, music, art and fashion all under one roof. Some of Dirtybird’s newer additions, Wood Holly, touring with Sage Armstrong and Middath, best known for his track, Aw Damn, were the featured special guests.

We’re excited to see who and what these guys bring next. There’s also even bigger news and bigger plans than just hosting great parties. Dark Shades Records is currently in the works and the crew has just announced their first Single, Groovy Girl by TechNeekz x Burn1 x Takshak. Follow the record label’s Soundcloud for new releases HERE.

“We are excited to start a new journey for Dark Shades. We don’t have a set release date yet but it’s coming very soon. We hope this will be a turning point with our brand that will get more peoples heads turning and make a bigger impact in Miami.”

–David Pomareda (TechNeekz).

Mark your calendars now, the next Dark Shades Party will be on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 23RD at Wynwood 5th Ave from 4pm-2am.
