Corso at the Intercontinental Budapest Review

Budapest is one of the most gorgeous cities I have ever visited. In a location of such resplendent grandeur it is important to dine at a place where you can gaze at the marvelous scenery. Corso at the Intercontinental Budapest is situated right on the Danube River and is a splendid venue to appreciate and savor the city’s astonishing beauty. This restaurant offers Hungarian and international cuisine with one of Europe’s best views.

My favorite dish was an exquisite Goose And Duck Liver Variation – mousse and rillette from duck liver, pan fried goose liver escalope, served over beluga lentils. The pan fried goose liver was one of the best foie gras renditions I have ever devoured. When I bit through the crispy skin the foie burst into my mouth with a creamy, warm and remarkable flavor. The plate had many other wonderful flavors and variations, but the seared goose was a masterpiece. I still fantasize about this dish whenever I am about to eat more foie.

The second dish that I thoroughly enjoyed was a Grilled Deer Cutlet and Roulade served on “Bikavér” jus, accompanied with white cabbage in a filo pastry, pasta – cabbage layer “Flecken” & homemade orange chutney. It was my first adventure with venison and I was quite pleased. The plate was laid out artistically and the meat was so tender with a very interesting finish.

Budapest is one of my favorite cities in all of Europe. It is gorgeous, inexpensive and the people are fun and open. The restaurant is always rotating an international menu of goodies from around the globe. When I dined there they were offering delightful Indian dishes. Corso is a wonderful spot to eat tasty Hungarian and international fare while taking in one of the best views in Europe.
