For those in the dark about the world famous White Party allows us to shed some light on this prolific party. The White party is the ultimate gay party of the year! “The White Party was created by a wonderful group of altruistic and compassionate people drawn together – responding to a dreadful disease (AIDS).” It was the 30th anniversary of the White Party and it transpired at the Perez Art Museum in Miami to benefit Care Resource.

The party had been toned down in recent years after throwing previous insane galas at Vizcaya, but this year they went all out in a return to the glory days. The shindig was hosted by the entertaining drag diva Elaine Lancaster who knows how to make an entrance.

There were mammoth tables of tasty food catered by the Museum’s restaurant Verde. Please note that there are no bibs so be extra careful to protect your precious white attire.

A highlight of the evening was the performance by DJ David Knapp and a 30-piece symphony conducted by Sam Hyken.

Of course the White Party is renown for the attendees fabulous and creative costumes.

Of course, there were our beloved local celebrities: the adorable power couple Tony Lima & Adam Kruszelnicki.

As well as the lovable James Echols and Annette Peikert from Soul of Miami.

In addition there was a premium open bar, gambling, dancing and a festive euphoric mood all around. We had an amazing time and can not wait to attend next year’s White Party.
