WeWork Miami Opens with Week Full of Events

WeWork Miami is Miami’s newest shared workspace. WeWork is located at 350 Lincoln Road (off of Washington Ave) and features a number of amenities including beer on tap, a digital app, community managers, weekly events, lounges, micro-roasted coffee, private phone booths, unique interior design, conference rooms and event space.

Join us as we celebrate WeWork with a series of fun, yogi, boozy, delicious and interesting activities starting Monday, October 19th. Take a look at the schedule below and join the fun.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 19TH PERSPIRE TO INSPIRE

What: Thank God It’s Monday! Start the week of right by participating in a wellness workshop and a full day to help you refuel for the week. Begin with a Lululemon sponspored yoga class followed by breakfast (NY Bagel Deli Breakfast and Juice Bar.) Take a break in the early afternoon and refresh your mind with creative meditation & hypnosis, Exhale Spa pop-up with acupuncture & massage chairs and tea den with Jojo Tea.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20TH LUNCH & LEARN / WORK OF ART

What: Lunch & Learn! Discussions will be focused on innovation and technology as it continues to expand in Miami, how Miami influences its growth, who is on the forefront of technology in Miami and what future endeavors are in store. Moderated by Chris Sopher (The New Tropic). Panelists: Will Weinraud (Live Ninja), Melissa Medina (eMerge Americas), Jon Stuart (FIU Makerbot Lab), Juha Mikkola (Wyncode). Taco Station provided by Taquiza (a traditional Mexican taqueria crafting authentic tacos & street fare located just around the corner from WeWork).

“Work of Art” – Artistic Afternoons! This panel discussion would look deeper into the Miami Art Scene, Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow and how art affects the work space. Moderator: TBD, Panelists: Books Bischoff (Primary Projects), Esther Park (YoungsArts Foundation), Benjamin Hollingsworth (local artist) –Benjamin will also install a sculpture art piece inspired by his interpretation of the modern office that will be on view for members for one month.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 21st CREATING YOUR PERSONAL BRAND

What: Afternoon Beauty and Grooming Experience – take a break from your work day and get spruced up with Glamsquad for the ladies and hot shaves by Junior & Hatter for the men.

What: Creating Your Personal Brand – An evening filled with cocktails and conversations hosted by inspiring and influential individuals across multiple platforms in Miami – Moderated by Alan Philips (Senior VP, Brand Experience, WeWork). Panelists: Miguel McKelvey (Founder, WeWork), Lee Schrager (Founder, South Beach Wine and Food Festival), Matthew Chevallard (Founder, Del Toro Shoes), Simonette Pereira (Founder, Shop Style Mafia). Dive deeper into creating your brand and discuss it’s impacted by the digital world – how to maximize your followers on social media, tips on how to take the best photo for your Instagram and what impact bloggers how on the local community.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22nd COMMUNITY HOUSE PARTY

What: WeWork House Party After a week of inspiring events, let lose a little and jam out to live music, enjoy local food favorites by YardBird, hand crafted cocktails by Pernod-Ricard and dance the night away at the community house party hosted by Peachfuzz. Peachfuzz is a long standing weekly party in Miami that pays tribute to 90’s throwback hip-hop jams. Peachfuzz brings their resident DJ Paserock, YO! MTV Raps on loop and throwback jams to create an endless, old school, good time dance party. Sweat Record, Miami’s indie store and music haven created by long time DJ and music-new, Lolo Reskin and Keen One we’ll be on hand for a vinyl record swap. We’ll have plenty of brown paper bags for beer, red solo cups and shots of tequila upon arrival.
