W Fort Lauderdale Hosts The LAB
It is always a good night when you combine music, fashion, design, and a beautiful location. That’s exactly the kind of night that the The Lab event at the swanky W Fort Lauderdale afforded us.
The LAB is an exclusive series of events that takes place every quarter and showcases what’s up and coming in the local South Florida music, fashion, and design scene. This years event included beats by DJ YSL, a fashion photoshoot & runway show by 1977 & Lilac and Lilies Boutique, and live stream art by WYN 317 artists. This year’s featured artists were Ivan Roque and Jorge Rodriguez.
The venue was sexy and hip; the crowd included South Florida’s most fashionable and chic. In one corner of the main room DJ YSL, was spinning some of the hottest beats atop a fluorescent DJ booth. She definitely looked and sounded good! Hanging on the main wall was a large blank canvas, where the crowd was able to watch first hand as “street artist” Jorge Rodriguez create magic with his hands. Jorge’s mural was the backdrop to a fashion runway show by 1977 & Lilac and Lilies Boutique complete with beautiful models rocking edgy, yet classy designs by featured fashion designer Ivan Roque. The crowd spent much of the evening looking around in awe at the vibrant and enticing elements of the main room as we were surrounded by colors, lights, and sexy people from all angles.
