The Spice up your Life Crown Royal Cookie Recipe

Whatever your family gatherings look like—we would like to introduce you to the Crown Royal cookie. A rich batter with a hint of coco and a kick of whiskey! Add creamy almond icing for a delectable experience.

Prep time: 5-10 minutes   Cook time: 11 minutes 

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup cream butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup Crown Royal or Crown Royal Maple
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

Cooking Directions:

  1. Let the butter & eggs sit out to room temperature (about 45 minutes)
  2. Preheat oven to 375
  3. With a hand mixer stir the cream butter, cocoa, & sugar on low speed
  4. On low speed add one egg at a time
  5. Add vanilla
  6. Mix in the Crown Royal
  7. Add in flour, baking soda, & salt slowly until combined
  8. Place 1 Tbs sized balls 2 inches apart on cookie sheet
  9. Bake for 11 minutes- begin icing recipe at this time
  10. Remove from oven, let sit on cookie sheet for 2 minutes then transfer

Ingredients for homemade almond icing:

Prep time: 3-5 minutes   Cook time: Ready upon making

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 4-1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons Almond extract
  • 5 to 6 tablespoons 2% milk

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl beat butter until creamy
  2. Beat in confectioners’ sugar, vanilla, and milk
  3. Makes about 3 cups.
  4. When cookies come out of oven-spread desired icing amount over cooling cookies (the more the merrier!).
 

You can’t take a shot every time Aunt Peggy asks why you’re still single, but you can grab a cookie. Crown Royal Cookies are sure to bring a batch of fun to your holiday party or family gathering.

  4. Wonder if 1/2C cocoa is not correct. It’s hardly a hint of coco. Mine are very chocolatey and 1 Tbls dough makes quite a small cookie compared to the photo.
