Tanzy Boca Raton Review

Situated on the ground floor of the luxurious iPic Theaters in Mizner Park, Tanzy Boca Raton looks like a cross between a high-end cocktail lounge and an enchanted forest. The unique decor and ambience are enough to make anyone want to stop in, whether to indulge in a multi-course meal or simply enjoy a pre-movie drink.

I’d heard nothing but great reviews of Tanzy Boca Raton and had passed it more than a few times, so I finally decided to dine in. When I was promptly seated in the comfortable lounge, I was informed by the friendly host that Tuesday is ladies’ night: free cucumber, basil, or citrus infused vodka drinks. I had a cucumber martini that did not disappoint (I switched to wine after that; $5 glasses during happy hour).

After a drink and soaking in the atmosphere, I decided to start with the Beef Carpaccio Appetizer, which came complete with mushrooms, toasted bread, and an arugula and Parmesan salad. The portion was huge – it could easily have served 4-5 people comfortably. It was delicious, and I was truly enjoying myself amidst the cozy vibe and light trance music. The lounge and bar were both busy, so I assume I was one of the few unaware of the ladies’ night specials.

The menu itself has a great selection of options to please everyone. Quite a few appetizers, salads, and small plates; the pastas, poultry, and beef dishes are sure to leave every guest with more than a few choices.

For my entree I went with Tanzy’s Fiocchi: I’m a sucker for quattro formaggio anything! The flavor, set off by a spiced pear filling, was swoon-worthy, and the display was impeccable. The prices are medium to high range, and I feel the satisfying experience was more than worth it.

Tanzy Boca Raton was developed by iPic’s own Sherry Yard, a talented chef and author with a long resume. There are actually three Tanzy locations alongside other iPic Theaters throughout the U.S. Boca Raton, Scottsdale and Westwood claim Tanzy as their own for now, but I wouldn’t be surprised to hear of expansion to all theater locations, considering its popularity, charm, and – of course – food.
