Sugar Factory Miami Beach Brunch Review
A Disneyland for lovers of all sweets, Sugar Factory Miami Beach offers an array of desserts, milkshakes, and candy filled cocktails. But we mustn’t forget about their savory dishes. I had the opportunity to try a little bit of everything at their Superhero Sunday Brunch. One thing is for sure, every plate is enormous. The cocktails are enormous, the milkshakes are enormous, the main dishes are enormous!
The main attraction at Sugar Factory Miami Beach are the goblet drinks, is what we started off with. The Lollipop Passion comes adorned with lollipops and a candy necklace. The bright color of the drink and the smoke from the dry ice add to the already striking presentation. The fresh flavors of melon, coconut, and pineapple combine to create a tropical cocktail perfect for Miami Beach.
Ocean Blue was the other goblet drink brought over to the table. Reminiscent of a mini aquarium, with its shark-shaped gummies and blue color, the Hpnotiq based cocktail rightfully took its place as my favorite drink of the day. The cocktail is based off of a mixture of cotton candy and passion fruit flavors. I didn’t think I would like this drink at all because I tend to steer clear of cotton-candy-flavored-anything, but the mixture of all the ingredients did it for me. And I highly recommend to eat the shark-shaped gummies at the end! It’s like an extra dessert bite on top of thealready sweet cocktail.
The S’mores cocktail was beautifully decorated, with three giant marshmallows adorned atop the chocolate-drizzled martini glass. The rim was covered with chocolate and graham crackers. Perfect for the chocolate lovers.
If you like sour apple anything, Sour Apple Lolly is for you. This cocktail tastes exactly like a sour apple lollipop. It is sweet and tart and perfect in every way. The cocktail came in a martini glass with a rim of pop rocks that pop in your mouth as you sip away, and is topped of with an actual lollipop in the drink. This was probably my second favorite drink.
The Big Cheesy was the first main dish I tried. This was a angus beef burger topped with creamy mac & cheese and applewood bacon, served on a toasted brioche bun with a side of BBQ sauce. This burger was huge, and came with a VERY generous portion of French fries. Everything about this burger was perfect. I would go back just for the Big Cheesy.
Who doesn’t love fried chicken? At Sugar Factory, the fried chicken comes with a side of mac & cheese and buffalo sauce. The chicken had a nice crust to it and was moist and flavorful on the inside. The mac and cheese was honestly my favorite part of this dish. I was pleasantly surprised at how creamy and cheesy it was.
I LOVE baked Brie, and so naturally I had to order their baked Brie wrapped in puff pastry. The Brie came with a side of apricot jam, toasted baguette, and slices of Granny Smith apples. I put all of these ingredients together on the baguette, which was itself seasoned with butter, herbs, and cheese, and WOW. I absolutely loved how thick the apricot jam was, and the crunch the apples gave to every bite. The cheesy goodness of the Brie with the bitterness of the apples and the sweetness of the jam went perfectly with the seasoned baguette. This is a dish I would order over and over.
Sugar Factory Miami Beach Brunch isn’t complete without pancakes. So….. I had to order the Red Velvet Pancakes. Three fluffy pancakes sprinkled with white chocolate chips, topped with a generous portion of whipped cream, and served with warm maple syrup on the side. These pancakes were so moist, especially with the whipped cream and white chocolate chips melted on top.
Last but not least…. Drum roll……the milkshakes! Caramel Sugar Daddy Cheesecake was the first one I tried. I was shocked at the size of the actual milkshake, and then I saw the slice of cheesecake it was topped off with. And let’s not forget the actual Sugar Daddy and lollipop that were stuck into the milkshake. Half of the glass was dipped in milk chocolate and crushed graham crackers. I was impressed. Everything but the actual glass and straws were edible. It’s a chocolate lovers dream! The sweet, rich taste of caramel mixed with vanilla ice cream and cheesecake bites was apparent from the first sip. Get a spoon, take a bit of that dipped chocolate from off the glass, and combine it with the milkshake, well… that sip gets even better.
The other milkshake I tried at Sugar Factory Miami Beach was the Giggles Snickers Milkshake. The base is a cookies and cream ice cream with peanuts and chocolate chips. Topped with whipped cream, maple waffles, and a whole snickers bar. The glass was also dipped in milk chocolate, pieces of snickers, and rainbow sprinkles. Amazing! As with the other milkshake, make sure to use that spoon and get some of that sweet goodness from the side of the glass, onto the spoon, and into your mouth when you take a sip of that milkshake. Oh! And dip that maple waffle into the milkshake! So many ways to drink this creation!
