SOBEWFF Miami 2016 – South Beach Wine & Food Festival Guide
Miami’s most anticipated annual festival, aside from Art Basel, and the biggest Food and Restaurant Industry event in the U.S., is coming up soon. The Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE (SOBEWFF), featuring over 50 dinner and tasting events, will take place on February 24 – 28, 2016.
For the festival’s 15th anniversary, SOBEWFF’s founder and director, Lee Brian Schrager, announced the introduction of the new Taste Fort Lauderdale Series and the 10th birthday of the festival’s iconic Burger Bash® hosted by Rachael Ray.

Seaside Eats hosted by Robert Irvine, cookbook author and star of Food Network’s Restaurant: Impossible, at Fort Lauderdale’s historic Bonnet House Museum & Gardens on Thursday, Feb. 24
Amstel Light Burger Bash presented by Schweid & Sons hosted by Rachael Ray – with an esteemed panel of judges, including David Burtka, Neil Patrick Harris, and Natalie Morales, at the PMG North Venue, Beachside at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach, on Friday, Feb. 26
Fontainebleau Miami Beach presents Wine Spectator’s Best of the Best – with 60 of the nation’s top chefs pairing their gourmet samplings with over 100 wines rated 90 points or higher on Wine Spectator’s scale, on Friday, Feb. 26
Nutrish’s Yappie Hour hosted by Rachael Ray, with own line of pet food, Nutrish® on hand to satiate the pups with snacks and treats, while Tito’s Homemade Vodka and Chateau La Paws™ libations will served to their humans, at The Standard Spa, Miami Beach, on Saturday, Feb. 27
Bank of America Lifestyle Seminar – Uvaggio’s Somm Slam hosted by Chef Tanner Gill, and with comedic entertainment by friendly competing sommeliers, Heath “Head Wine-O” Porter and Anthony “Wine Wise Guy” Giglio, at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach, on Saturday, Feb. 27
MasterCard Preview Meatopia hosted by “The King of Carnivores” Michael Symon –with a live musical performance by Gregg Allman, at the PMG North Venue, Beachside at Delano, on Saturday, Feb. 27
LUCKY CHOPSTICKS: An Asian Night Market hosted by Andrew Zimmern, James Beard Award-winning TV personality, chef, food writer and teacher, on Sunday, Feb. 28
FUTURE OF FOOD: A seated Raw Vegan dinner, hosted by Matthew Kenney (Wynwood’s Plant Food + Wine Miami), and Jamie Bissonnette. These plant-based cuisine pioneer chef’s will create and explore the versatility of vegetables and grains, on Saturday, Feb. 27
The Festival’s iconic tents housing Goya Foods Grand Tasting Village featuring MasterCard Grand Tasting Tents & KitchenAid® Culinary Demonstrations return on the beach, between 10th & 13th Streets off Ocean Drive, with gourmet sampling features the finest pours from the Southern Wine & Spirits and a tri-county array of restaurants, led by this year’s Culinary Captains representing neighborhoods across South Florida.

After SOBEWFF Parties
For those looking to unwind after their SOBEWFF events, on Friday, Feb. 26th, come on over to the Regent Cocktail Club, where from 7 PM – 3 AM, guests can spend the night dancing to the funky dance beats while sipping on artisanal cocktails by head cantinero Julio Cabrera. From 10PM – Midnight, the classic cocktail bar will host Latin Funk & Electronic Fusion band Elastic Bond.

On Feb. 27th, from 7 PM – 11 PM, the Rec Room continues the party with “Sweet Talk” up on the Gale Rooftop with DJ’s Michelle Leshem of Supermarket Creative and DJ PillowTalk. Spinning a combination of soul, boogie and house music, PillowTalk will take over the ones and twos and keep the SOBEWFF celebration going.

Dale’s Night Out is the UNOFFICIAL after-party for SOBEWFF. On Saturday, February 27 from 1 AM to 4 AM, party like a chef with Dale Talde and friends at TALDE Miami Beach. Enjoy a special version of TALDE’s Late Night Noodles menu, – think Almas Caviar and tater tots. Guests can enjoy sounds by DJ Reid Waters and beer and cocktails compliments of Peroni and Absolut Elyx.
