Sexy Scrumptious Soyka
If you are looking for fresh delicious food, a chill ambiance and an overtly friendly staff then check in to Soyka. Soyka offers superb food at very reasonable prices. Soyka utilizes super fresh ingredients and imports its cheeses and pastas directly from Italy. We had the pleasure of dining there the other night and were very impressed. Lori, the sweet endearing bartender started us off with her own special concoction, Triple Muddled Berries vodka piña which was deelish. The lychee martinis are killer too.
For appetizers, we tried the Tuna Tartare, Chicken Livers and Deviled Eggs. The tuna was so fresh, moist, succulent and tender with avocado, soy-ginger dressing and crispy wontons. The siracha and wasabi drizzled across the plate added a nice kick for those who love a little spice in their life as the Shedonist does. The chicken livers were served with apple-wood bacon, caramelized onions and mashed potatoes. The mix contained a hint of sweetness and a warm, rich, finish giving it comfort food-like feeling. The deviled eggs made with smoked salmon, dill and paprika, were so gorgeously presented you couldn’t decide if you wanted to eat it or take its picture. They were quite light and creamy with an oozing subtle richness. Best deviled eggs we ever had.
Since we were pretty full from the appetizers, we settled on just one main dish, and it was glorious. The Flocci Alle Pere is an ostentatiously rich pasta comprised of pear, ricotta and mascarpone, melded together superbly in pasta purses with Parmesan cream. The dish is a glutton’s pasta-topia with a rich creamy touch of sweetness. This exquisite crave-able concoction is big both in taste and plate.
Though we were thoroughly satiated, we couldn’t resist ordering dessert. Soyka is famous for its sticky date pudding and home-made croissant bread pudding and we of course tried them both. The sticky date pudding is an absolute revelation. We are talking eyes roll into the back of your head from euphoric sweet delight insanity. It was our favorite dish in the entire place. The bread pudding which consist of a homemade croissant is incredible as well.
We are a huge Soyka fans and have since become regulars. It sports terrific food, reasonable prices, great happy hour, a sublime ambiance and an awesome friendly staff.
Since we penned this article we have been back many times and also adore the cheeseburger, almond crusted tilapia, sweet potato fries (best ever) and the churasco steak. All exquisite must eat dishes. Enjoy…….
