Saffron Supper Club & The Spice Detective Host Private Dinner
A Pop-Up Dinner Featuring Middle Eastern Cuisine, Poetry and Performance
If you have never been to a Saffron Supper Club event then you need to check your foodie credentials. These dinners are a special treat. A night of magnificent cuisine, culture, intellectual conversation and smiles. The upcoming one focuses on Middle Eastern cuisine.
On Sunday, November 20th Saffron Supper Club will host their popular traveling dinner series event at R House Wynwood featuring a three-course dinner with wine pairings and welcome cocktails. Chef Yaniv Cohen aka The Spice Detective will be collaborating with Saffron Supper Club chef Maude Eaton and R House Wynwood Chef Rocco Carulli on a special menu that will focus on the healing power of spices and flavors of the Levant. Dishes include Deconstructed Baby Eggplant with Tahini Za’tar, Cobia Middle Eastern Tiradito with Mint and Sumac, Saffron-Scented Organic Chicken Meatballs and Rosewater Malabi for dessert.
Priced at $70 per person, the culinary journey includes:
- Welcome cocktail reception courtesy of Rekorderlig Cider
- Four-course dinner with wine pairings
- Poetry and a live performance by Athena Dion, voted Best Drag Queen in the Miami New Times Best of Miami Awards 2016.
And of course, as is the case with all Saffron Supper Club dinners, guests can expect poetry, culture, music and even some sparkler-festooned platters (they’ve been known to get a little festive).

Throughout history many cultures around the world have used herbs, plants, and spices to treat different health conditions. The goal of “The Spice Detective” is to collect more info from different outlets into one easy-to-read “database,” and incorporate those spices into everyday simple dishes that will not intimidate any level cook. The passion project of Yaniv Cohen, VP and Creative Director of Shiraz Events, The Spice Detective draws on his North African and Middle Eastern roots, incorporating the flavors of the Levant into delicious and healing dishes.
