Wednesday’s We Rose with Stanton Social
If we could rosé all day, it would be at Stanton Social. Tucked in the heart of New York’s Lower East Side, this restaurant is divided into a lower dining area and a second floor that has more of a lounge vibe. Climb their stairway to heaven and you’ll find yourself in paradise for Stanton Social’s Rosé Wednesday. The décor matches what the evening will entail: modern classic vibes encapsulated with pink, red wallpaper and elevated lighting.
To begin, you’re given tickets to be claimed during your 2 hour drinking fest. If things could not get better, there’s also food involved. Trays of hors d’oeuvres will come by you and help you monitor your drinking pace with something tasty. The music was on point; Dj Cassidy spun a sick beat. There was everything from today’s hits to throwbacks. Spice Girls came on and made the night complete. I’ll tell you what I want, what I really really want..more rose.
Whispering Angel definitely took the spotlight of the night. Taking a look at the color, you’ll find this rosé is such a pretty shade of pink. Fresh and clean, the aroma is fruity and the sip smooth.
You can top an arepa with pretty much anything. These corn patties were garnished with hand pulled chicken with salsa verde. To top it off, a crunchy jalapeño was added to give the perfect crunch and finish.
Staton Social’s grilled caprese pizzette transformed the classic pizza with the added twist of pesto and a thinner crust.
Our favorite thing of the evening was the crispy hard shell fish taco. The crunchiness of the taco was supplemented by the creaminess of the avocado. The spicy mango relish which garnished the bite made me want to get up and dance from happiness. The sweetness of the mango was cut with the spice of jalapeño.
Oreo cake pops were worth the wait. They come out 15 minutes before closing off the evening. I still salivate at the thought of the moist chocolate flavor encapsulated by a delicious oreo covering.
A funky collection of mirrors line the wall as you leave; hopefully you can still see yourself as you make your way out. When there’s a will, there’s a rosé.
