Super Talented Problem Kids are the 2013 Ultimate Miami Band
Let us set the f*cking record straight: Miami has a fantastic local music scene! If you are unaware of this it is because your musical taste blows or you do not frequent awesome local music venues like PAX and The Stage to experience these kick-ass bands. The Problem Kids or (PK) are an incredibly talented band that symphonically intertwines hip-hop, roots rock and Caribbean salsa into sick tunes. This past Thursday November 7th, PK ruled supreme at the Ultimate Miami Band Contest at Magic City Casino and took home the $5,000 prize. They played their new addictive single  “My Ami”, which has a great chance of becoming the official 305 Anthem. They also rocked out with superb renditions of Oasis’s “Wonderwall” and a new take on Kendrick Lamar’s “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” called ” Bitch Don’t Kill My HIGH”, which we believe is waaaaaay better than the original. Sorry, Lamar. PK had the whole venue bumping and sincerely deserved the title they took home, Congrats Kids!Â
Problem Kids jammed out against Cuban fusion band Barrioactivo, Latin Cranberries style Odas and ska/reggae fusion band Stop The Presses. After the four bands competed, the 2012 Ultimate Miami Band winner Magazine Society performed. The Gin Blossoms lit up the stage after with their classic hits and the Problem Kids were then crowned the victors. It was a great night of new and old musical talents blended into a cool competition that gave locals the chance to become aware of some very talented Miami bands. Good Luck Problem Kids. We hope you talented ninos remember your original fans when you eventually blow the fuck up.
