Nikki Beach Miami – Amazing Sunday Brunch Review
This beach club and entertainment concept, dubbed the “Sexiest Place on Earth”, has several exotic locations all over the world, such as St. Tropez, Ibiza, Phuket, St. Barths, and of course, Nikki Beach Miami.
Sunday Brunch at Nikki Beach Miami is an all-day outdoor party with sexy electronic dance beats and endless food stations dedicated to made-to-order omelets, sushi, desserts and everything imaginable in between.
Along with my bestie, I attended their ‘Amazing Sunday Brunch’ especially for Chef Frank Ferreiro’s ‘Eggs Benny’ – deconstructed Eggs Benedict.
We found Chef Frank making his version of the classic brunch dish at the Rotisserie & Carving Station, which features slow Roasted Herb Crusted Prime Rib of Beef. Upon your order, Chef sautées buttery biscuits with the addition of fresh Spinach Leaves and diced Smoked Ham.
Next, he removes a fresh egg from a water tank, similar to a lobster or fish tank. If an egg in the water tank is lying on its side at the bottom, or standing upright on the bottom, it is sign of freshness. Over time, air seeps into the porous eggshells, and the air would make an older egg float.
The egg is whipped and added to the sautéed mixture, and into a ceramic crock, and then oven baked. Two minutes later, voilà, you have your Eggs Benny! I am now ruined for ordinarily prepared Eggs Benedict, (I enjoyed a second order just to confirm this opinion).
In need of an alcoholic toast in honor of our Sunday Funday, we perused menus at the Bloody Mary and Champagne bar stations for our cocktail selections.
The Nikki Beach & Mary featured Belvedere Vodka along with all the vegetable accompaniments. More exotic choices include the extra spicy Bloody Maria made with Tequila and garnished with Jalapeno Pepper Rings, or the substantial Kobe & Mary, -mixed with Bacon and topped off with a Kobe Beef Slider.
However, it’s Moët & Chandon for me, thank you. All the classic Champagne concoctions were available, -Bellini, Mimosa, and Kir Royale, but I choose the French 75 made with Moët & Chandon, London Gin and fresh pressed Lemon Juice.
There was another made-to-order station I could not resist, French Crêpes and Belgian Waffles. French Crêpes are very thin flour pancakes which either have meal-like savory fillings like cheese, ham, ratatouille, mushrooms, etc., or served with sweet toppings for breakfast or dessert.
After my breakfast crepes were done, I had warm topping options that included Chocolate Ganache. Along with breakfast sides of crispy Applewood Smoked Bacon and peppery Country Sausage Links, I went with classic Nutella -an Italian specialty made with Hazelnuts and Cocoa, -and fresh Florida Strawberry Sauce. Both choices were delicious with my velvety soft and slightly sweet French-styled pancakes.
Nikki Beach Miami is located in the SoFi (South of Fifth) neighborhood at 1 Ocean Dr, Miami Beach, FL 33139. Nikki Beach Miami’s ‘Amazing Sunday Brunch’ is held from 11AM – 4PM. For reservations or more information, visit: www.nikkibeach.com/destinations/beach-clubs/miami-beach
