Mixing, Mingling and Eating with Reyka Vodka at South Pointe Tavern
South Pointe Tavern is a hidden gem right off the main drag of tourist central. It has a New York vibe from the marble bar counter to the crafted cocktails. The bartenders are suave, friendly and full of cocktail facts you’ve been dying to know. South Pointe is serving up some of the best cocktails in the game using Reyka Vodka. One of the specialties of the night was a new take on the lemon cayenne master cleanse. The drink consisted of Reyka Vodka, Chile Liquor, Lemon Juice, Maple Simple Syrup and some Club Soda. As much as I hated the master cleanse (let’s face it, everyone’s tried it), I loved this drink.
One of the other drinks that was served in the cutest coupe glass was the Reyka Vodka South Side; it had fresh lime juice, simple syrup and fresh mint. The vodka is so smooth and mixes incredibly well with the lemon juice and bite of the chile liquor. This bar also has a kitchen and they’re serving up some awesome bar bites. Let me just start by saying – get a flatbread. We tried two of them. One was a caprese with mushrooms, balsamic reduction and melted cheese. This was probably my favorite, the flavors of the mushroom and balsamic reduction meshed so well that I couldn’t stop eating it. Looking back, I totally could’ve eaten the entire flatbread myself. The other one was a caprese with cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, balsamic and fresh basil.
You cannot go wrong with this combo. Always good. South Pointe also serves items like Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail – (literally the biggest shrimp I’ve ever seen) and charcuterie platters. This is a great spot for a date night or after work cocktail with your friends.
