Miami Spice Bang Bang at The FontaineBleau

Are you a true Foodie? Then you must be acquainted with the Bang Bang! The Bang Bang made famous by hilarious comedian Louie CK is when you eat at 2 restaurants back to back! There are too many scrumptious options to pound food at, so why not go to two restaurants instead of one? This gave us the idea to do a Miami Spice Bang Bang and we found the purrfect spot to do it at, The FontianeBleau. Check out Louie CK doing the Bang Bang Below:
So why Bang Bang at The Bleau? Because they have 4 stellar restaurants to choose from all on the same property. You can pick from Scarpetta, Hakassan, Strip Steak by Micheal Mina or La Cote. Maybe even do a Bang Bang Bang!
Here are the Miami Spice Menus from each with some sterling recommendations from us:
Let us start with the Sultry Scarpetta, one of our fave Italian places in Miami. For our money we recommend the Polenta, Spaghetti and Coconut Panna Cotta. This will be a deliriously delicious meal.
This quintessential Spaghetti is prepared with Tomatoes and Basil. The house made pasta was chewy and though there were only few ingredients in the pasta, this is THE BEST pure spaghetti dish you will have! The simple ingredients were elevated and prepared to extract optimum flavors.
The Creamy Polenta is better than you could have imagined. Polenta is cornmeal that is boiled into a porridge. Scarpetta serves it next to a bowl of fricasseed (cut up, sautéed and braised) truffled mushrooms. What makes this treat so freakishly delicious is that the polenta is cooked for three hours, which dissolves ALL of the grains. This process transforms it into this uber creamy and deliriously superb delicacy. It possesses an amazing consistency that simultaneously dazzles and soothes your soul. I prefer some bites without the mushrooms, so you might want to stop the server from mixing the two after it is bestowed upon your table and try it both ways. Here is the full Miami Spice menu:

Now that we got your first Bang out of the way let us tackle the second Bang. it is a tough call, but we would recommend Strip Steak by Michael Mina, especially since William Crandall of Azul fame is now the head chef there!
The complimentary bread at Stripsteak is intensely orgasmic! Take advantage of these two months of Miami Spice to try this iconic starter bread! Truffle butter is nestled within the bread so when you pull a piece (or three) of bread the butter is already melting away and oozing within.
The Heirloom Tomato Salad with Watermelon, Goat Cheese and Maple Dressing is also a very satisfying dish. The fresh veggies and seductive dressing pair perfectly with the truffle bread. The Ricotta Cavatelli with Braised Short Rib Ragout, Tomato and Parmesan is another tempting option.
For the main, the Grilled Beef Churrasco with Crispy Russet Potato, Chimichurri was outstanding. Perfectly cooked, tender and juicy meat will have you swooning, but it was the potatoes that stood out. Chef Crandall puts some vinaigrette on them and it is beyond superb. Crispy on the outside but soft and hot once you bite into them. The best potato I remember eating! We did not try either dessert, but they both look awesome!

If you are feeling a bit more Asian the you can sub out Scarpetta or Strip Steak for the always stellar Hakkasan! They have a dinner and a weekend Dim Sum Lunch Menu. This is such a sexy venue where you feel like you are not even in Miami anymore.
Definitely Start with the Serpent’s Tongue – featuring Bulleit Bourbon, honey syrup, fresh lemon, crushed ginger & pepper. A refreshing yet tantalizing libation to open up your appetite. It is full of ginger so it is healthy too!
We would go with the Stir-Fry Beef with Lotus Root in White Peppercorn Sauce. Trust us that Lotus root just makes everything better!

There is even a 4th option to choose from with La Cote offering a lunch menu. I have not eaten at La Cote yet, but am in love with their wallpaper. Seriously worth popping in just to take a gander of the fantastic design.
Honestly it is The FontaineBleau and besides being elevated by the ambiance, their restaurants are all stupendous. You can not go wrong doing any version of the Bang Bang here! Happy Spice fatties.
