Mandylicious Challah bakes and sells challah bread like you’ve never tasted it before. When Mandy moved just outside of Boston she was disappointed to find there was no good challah around. What’s challah some of you may ask? Well it is a special Jewish braided bread eaten on Sabbath and Jewish holidays–or just for tasty pleasure. Familiar with a woman in St. Louis who puts honey inside her challah for Rosh Hashanah (the holiday marking the Jewish New Year), Mandy tried to figure out the secret herself. While she was unsuccessful in making the special honey challah, Mandy did realize she could put other delicious ingredients in her braided bread.
Her friends began flocking to her house to try her new creations. Mandy began making stuffed challahs for friends birthdays and holidays. Her friends loved her gifts so much they insisted she start a business out of it. Thus Mandylicious Challah was born. Mandy kicked the business into full gear in 2013 when Chanukah and Thanksgiving happened to fall on the same day. Mandy’s “turkey shaped challah bread” went viral. People began driving down all the way from Maine to taste her braided delicacies.
While she has over 60 flavor options, Mandy currently tries to limit her basic flavors. At any given time, you can check her website for two sweet flavors, two savory flavors, and two or three stuffed with meat.

And if it is near a holiday, except an extra treat or two. For example, for St. Patrick’s Day, Mandy is known for her Corned Beef Challah Bread. And this past Valentine’s Day, Mandylicious Challah feature a heart-shaped Nutella Challah.
Mandylicious Challah is a small business, run from Mandy’s kosher home kitchen. Her challah is made with all kosher ingredients, too. Be sure to check out Mandylicious Challah on Instagram for daily mouthwatering challah photos. And Mandy loves when people offer flavor suggestions and loves spreading the joy of challah by assisting others with their own challah.
I was lucky enough to taste Mandylicious Challah’s Marshmallow Hot Chocolate Challah Bread. Best served heated up, this braided taste of heaven was divine. Gooey chocolate and oozing marshmallows melted in my mouth as I downed piece after piece of this braid. My friends and I utterly devoured it. All I can say is I wish I could taste more. It was so yummy!
