Magic City Hippies Release Debut EP: Hippie Castle
Magic City Hippies, formerly the critically-acclaimed Robby Hunter Band, known for Hype Machine-topping hits “Corazon”, “Hard on Me” and “BUST” are pleased to announce the release of their latest EP, Hippie Castle, on July 24th at Wynwood Warehouse Project from 7PM – 10PM. With over 1.5 million Soundcloud streams, they are well on their way to making a splash in the digital world.
The Magic City Hippies are known to their hometown of Miami, Florida for their their unique brand of ‘indie funk’, a self-coined genre reverent of old school funk and hip hop blended with current pop and dance music sensibilities. Their music has been featured on Indie Shuffle, Hype Machine, and MOR Network with over 250K video views under their belt. The new EP will include the band’s beach-y Miami anthem “Bull Ride” as well as their latest 70s-style funk single “BRNT” (feat. The EMEFE Horns).
On Hippie Castle, the Hippies have chased down a fresh new version of their sound, enlisting the help of NYC funk-pop outfit EMEFE for the horn arrangements alongside newfound local talent. With the new name comes that same trusted flavor, plus grand live arrangements founding members Robby Hunter, John Coughlin, and Pat Howard have long dreamt of presenting to their fans.
