Life in Color Review – Our lil local Miami rave that started a decade ago has reached double digits. Take a moment for the Miami rave scene to feel some pride. Life in Color started as DayGlow in 2006 by four students from Florida State University. Now Life In Color, (LIC) is a global masterpiece that has achieved the tile of “World’s Largest Paint Party” and deservingly so.
Every year, LIC continues to grow. This year the festival moved from next to Joe Robbie Stadium to the art district of Wynwood, which seems like a more fitting location. It was the first stop in the U.S. Tour on Saturday, January 28th and it was wild. With over 25,000 fans dancing and (barely) dressed in all white, only to leave the festival grounds covered in paint from head to toe.
The lineup for LIC Miami’s 10 Year Anniversary featured the likes of Diplo, Carnage, Marshmello, Young Thug, Seven Lions, TriTonal, Illenium, Desiigner, Mija, Ookay, Solano, Doctor P, Bonnie x Clyde, and Fresko.
Illenium was good, Seven Lions was magnificent, but it was Marshmello who stole the show. I saw Marsh at Lolla and his Life in Color set was only a billion times better. He teased his hits, played new ones and got dirty in such a symphonically pleasing fashion. If you have not seen Seven Lions or Marshmello yet… run to their next performances.
If you missed out on the paint party, there are plenty of more opportunities all around the country as well as in Miami next year. Hope you enjoyed our Life in Color Review.
