Latin Fusion at Calle 23 Miami

A trendy Cuban restaurant , Calle 23 Miami brings latin fusion to Miracle Mile. The entrance is adorned with flowers and the eye catching neon sign will make you want to order one of their delicious cocktails the moment you arrive. The inside of the restaurant is a tropical paradise, it has a vintage feel with gorgeous murals and one of the prettiest ceilings I have seen. After you take a selfie under the neon signs its time to grab a drink and enjoy the music. Calle 23 Miami offers live music and live entertainment weekly, a free salsa class, and an awesome happy hour menu.  Their menu ranges from small plates to large portions so whether you need a quick bite or full dining experience they have you covered.

Throughout my dining experience I was able to try a little bit of everything they had to offer. First and foremost lets start with my favorite the Croquettas! I was born and raised in Miami and definitely have a soft spot for croquettas. Calle 23 did not disappoint! They offer three different versions Chorizo, Ham, and Crab and each were melt in your mouth good. The Empanadas they serve are beautiful and the Picadillo was delicious. They have an extensive small plate selection that will cater to all pallets and perfectly portioned.

My favorite dish of the night was the Cuban Fried Rice, It was everything I expected and more. The Cuban Fried Rice be eaten as a side dish or meal since it is packed with Ham, Shrimp, Maduros, Pineapple, and Egg. If you are wanting something lighter, I would recommend the Pulpo a la Plancha or Tuna Tartare. All the medium plates I had are a great accompaniment to a large meal.

The last dish I was able to try was the Churrasco. This is definitely a meal that you can split in two or keep to yourself if you are hungry.  My churrasco was cooked to perfection and served with an accompaniment of their amazing Signature Fries.

Calle 23 was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The service, the cocktails, and the menu did not disappoint. Whether you want to grab a drink with a friend, learn a new dance move, or listen to a live band Calle 23 will check off each box. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining experiences and will create a memorable and unique experience while adhering to new guidelines and safety measures.
