iPIC Theater North Miami Beach – A Cinematic Dining Experience
iPIC Theater North Miami Beach marks the 12th site for this unique cinema chain that’s offers a luxury screening room style movie experience with exceptional food and drink served in-theater. Currently in seven states, including California and Texas, this South Florida-based entertainment company has plans to expand into New York and New Jersey. Prior to iPIC, founder and CEO, Hamid Hashemi founded the first megaplex chain, Muvico, to offer patrons valet car service and gourmet concessions.
iPIC Theater North Miami Beach plays the latest must-see movies on eight screens. Each screening room is furnished with Premium and Premium Plus (fully reclining) leather arm chair seating. To prevent any interruptions for patrons, each theater has wide spacing between rows and aisle exits placed at every group of four seats. Every reclinable Premium Plus arm chair comes with a comfy pillow and plush blanket mimicking first-class airline seating.
Between the luxe leather chairs, there is a round table top with a call button to summon attentive wait staff to take your drink and food order. This is how a great movie night becomes exceptional. iPIC Theaters has award-winning Master Mixologist Adam Seger designing the bar program and James Beard Award-winning Chef Sherry Yard creating the dining menu.
Seger, an advanced sommelier, who was named ‘Spirits Guru’ by Food and Wine Magazine, created the Moet Red Carpet Glamour for iPIC Theaters, the welcome cocktail for the 84th Academy Award’s Governor Ball. Here at iPIC Theater North Miami Beach, Seger, among his bespoke cocktail selection, has perfected the mojito.
Four signature mojitos, offered as classic or with exotic-flavors, come in three serving sizes, -sip (250ml), imbibe (500ml, or share (1200ml). The Tuck Mojito – fresh juiced Sugar Cane, Nitrogen-muddled Mint and Organic Agave, leads the Luxe Mojito (made with Grey Goose Vodka), Bacardi Superior Mojito, and the Illegalito – a blend of Bacardi Anejo, Passion Fruit, Coconut and Pineapple, which can be bumped up to Corzo Anejo Tequila.
The ever-enthusiastic Chef Yard has stepped up to a leadership role at iPIC Theater Group as Vice President of Culinary Direction. Her past 20 years working alongside the legendary Wolfgang Puck has well prepared Yard for overseeing all restaurant and concession concepts for the luxe movie theaters nationwide, including The Tuck Room at North Miami Beach.
Fortunate to be among their first guests at the soft opening, we were invited to a tasting of their in-theater menu from iPIC Express, followed by a screening of the excellent action-packed film, Ryan Coogler’s Creed, starring Sylvester Stallone and Michael B. Jordan (star of Coogler’s Fruitvale Station).
Plied with Seger’s delicious mojitos and movie popcorn, we found our luxurious seats. After adjusting our pillows, easily extending the down the chair back and the foot rest up, we were thoroughly relaxed and comfortable. One press on the table’s call button received a quick response by our server, who took our drink refill order request.
Just before the movie started, we were presented with a tasty sampler plate of fine dining-quality finger foods.
Warm Biscuits, – savory combination of Black Forest Ham and Cheddar Cheese encased in a flaky croissant-like pastry, with a side of Maple Butter, -simply scrumptious comfort food!
Chinois Caesar Salad – Petite Romaine filled with tender Chicken topped with shaved Parmesan and Caesar dressing. The lettuce spears acted as taco shells, and made this dish extra fun to eat.
Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese, -meaty BBQ Pork, topped with Smoked Gouda, spicy pickled Peppers, and Caramelized Onions on toasted Brioche Roll. This sandwich was thoroughly delicious.
As we got immersed into the film’s story, the wait staff offered coffee as they delivered a chocolate-filled dessert plate.
An outrageously rich Chocolate and Peanut Butter Bar, – Bittersweet Chocolate Cake and Peanut Butter Mousse, topped with a Chocolate Glaze and Caramel Crunch. Plus, iPIC’s signature Chocolate Chip Cookies. A perfect finish to a great film’s ending,…and a very special evening out.
In case all this movie talk is making you crave some popcorn. Amazon sells a very special rendition, Bacon Popcorn!
