Additionally, in partnership with III Points, the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami will present a video-based exhibition at the festival from iconic feminist artist Judy Chicago’s visionary “Atmospheres,” performances utilizing smoke and fireworks. Between 1968 and 1975 Chicago employed a revolutionary use of pyrotechnics at select locations around California and the Pacific Northwest in an effort to “feminize” the landscape—the artist’s rebuttal to the male-dominated land art movement of the early 1970s. With smoke, fireworks, and flares Chicago creates powerful displays of light and color, inventing her own imagery intended to recast the environment while asserting female agency.

Single Day Tickets and Weekend Passes are available.
