Hennessy Privilege Essential Summer Cocktail Tasting

We all have our pre misconceptions about things, its human nature. However being a Hennessey drinker upon arriving to Dolores but you can call me Lotita for Hennessey’s Summer cocktail tasting I was under the impression I knew all there was to know about the 250 year old Cognac. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised to be presented with an immaculately set table, sophisticated atmosphere and experienced mixologist. A great introduction to the world of Hennessy Privilege.

Not only is Hennessey Privilege a smooth Cognac aged for 15 years with tantalizing flavors like no other, it is a lifestyle. A lifestyle that evokes luxury and embodies the spirt of achievement. With their positive mantra of “Never Stop Never Settle” Hennessey Privilege revels and represents those who do just that. This summer alone the Privilege brand has celebrated the past and present with Platinum Rapper Fat Joe’s 20^th Anniversary and Lila Nikole debuting her swim line with the Hennessy Privilige team.  

Their 7 year age gap and lifestyle choices are not the only factors setting Hennessy Privilege apart from its counterpart Hennessey VS. Laced with pepper, cinnamon and honey among other ingredients that enrich its flavor Hennessy Privilege much like a chameleon can blend with just about anything you combine it with making it a great addition for many unexpected cocktail recipes.

Cocktails and Hennessy not something you would think belong in a sentence together. To validate its diversity our Mixologist for the evening Charles presented us with three simple cocktails each unlikely to contain any Cognac let alone Hennessey. A Strawberry Sidecar which embodied a refreshing fruity Martini, a Sangria blended with red wine and a Mojito. Although The Sangria would be the one I would most likely try at home by the pool it was the simplicity yet intricacy of the Mojito that took me by surprise. A cocktail usually blended with a light rum, lime juice and club soda was now missing its main ingredient and no one would have known the difference. The Slight cinnamon honey flavoring of Hennessy privilege fused with the Mojito ingredients offered up a refreshing experience allowing your taste buds to forget sit back and enjoy.

Topped off with a few savory appetizers and good conversation Hennessy privilege had defiantly set the tone it intended to. Luxury, success, celebration. Happy Birthday Hennessy. #Privilegetoastmiami.
