Goya Foods Grand Tasting Village at SOBEWFF 2016 –
Foodie Heaven
By Samantha Dockser
The Goya Foods Grand Tasting Village at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival 2016 was a foodie heaven. With tents full of incredible scents, bites and drinks, this village stretched 3 blocks across the sands of South Beach. And this celebration of the 15th Anniversary of SOBEWFF was a star-studded event. Filled with stars of the Food Network and Cooking Channel, demonstrations and book signings filled the Village with an altogether infectious buzz.
The tents were organized by region across Miami, from South Miami/Coral Gables to Downtown Wynwood. This event was altogether overwhelming and I only wish I had a bigger stomach to eat everything the Village had to offer.
One of the vendors I was most excited to taste going in was The Salty Donut, Miami’s first artisanal donuts. And they did not disappoint. My favorite treats were the Maple Bacon Donut and the Donut Holes filled with injections of Nutella and Moscow Mule.
In most cases, this food speaks for itself. So, I will leave you with the images below that barely do justice to the treats that abounded throughout the weekend.
