Flavors of Miami is the American Liver Foundation‘s inaugural gourmet culinary experience that goes beyond the traditional gala. Salivate at Miami’s most exclusive pop up “restaurant,” as top local chefs prepare a five-course dinner tableside with wine pairings, while guests observe and converse with them.
Think of it like a “pop-up approach” to a charity gala, because instead of executive chefs or their surrogates serving warmed food at stations in a large ballroom, Flavors of Miami chefs like Alex Chang (Vagabond), Jamie DeRosa (Tongue & Cheek), Scott Linquist (Coyo Taco), David Rustarazo (KLIMA), Nicole Votano (Fooq’s) and Kris Wessel (Oolite) will each cook a five-course meal tableside. Guests observe their meal creation and interact with the chef as they cook for a very intimate experience. Maybe even talk the chef into coming home with you.
The ticket price of $300 includes a cocktail reception with hors d’oeuvres by the participating chefs and silent auction, followed by the five-course dinner with wine pairings. Proceeds benefit the American Liver Foundation’s efforts to help improve the lives of 30 million people in the U.S. living with liver disease.
Cocktail reception and silent auction start at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner. Tuesday, July 28, Loews Miami Beach Hotel at 1601 Collins Ave. For tickets, visit www.liverfoundation.org/flavorsofmiami.
