In keeping with the ethos that good food should speak for itself, the premium at Filia is inspired by the heart of Italy. Using the freshest ingredients from the earth, Filia is an expression of the simplicity of straightforward Italian cooking with handmade touches and its signature wood fire oven

We began the scrumptious evening with a genuine Fried Zucchini Flower stuffed with three Italian cheeses. This dish was perfectly fried & rich, yet not too heavy. The cheese blend was lovely and the sauce tied everything together sensationally.

We have had quite a difficult time finding outstanding Burrata in Miami, but thankfully our quest has been satisfied! The Burrata & Prosciutto Basil Pesto, Heirloom Tomato, Arugula is Thank the Heavens flown in from Italy! Remember the way the creamy & succulent REAL Italian Burrata melts in your mouth? Swing by in case you need to remember it again or experience it in the first place!

Pizzeria has pride of place on the menu with a fluffy crust that Pizza Dreams are made of. The sublime crust is made from Naples’ Oldest Mill – Antico Caputo Flour, mixed with house made sourdough starter and fresh yeast. Fermented for 36 hours and stretched to order, the dough delivers all of Napoli’s traditions with a thin and robust crust that is light and fluffy with a slight crunch.

The darling of the pizza offerings at Fi’lia is the Tartufata which incorporates the delicate ingredient truffle with mozzarella, ricotta, mascarpone, caprino, and mushroom.

Fresh, daily-made pastas with premium Italian ingredients can be tasted with each bite. The Risotto al Funghi Misti showcases exotic wild mushrooms, parmesan and mascarpone and herbs. This creamy concoction was superb both fresh and even 2 days later as leftovers.

Another stellar offering is the Agnolotti Veal Ossobuco Creamy Butter & Sage, Ratatouille, Parmesan. The butter creates a pate like texture, which melts in a creamy ratatouille sauce with a hint of sage. Tastes tremendously tender as Italy and France are melded as one.

We also thoroughly enjoyed the Mediterranean Sea Whole Baked Branzino, served with brown butter, parsley, and lemon & we finished off our delightful dine with the Mango pana cotta. A perfect light and refreshing cap to an amazing Italian journey!

Fi’lia is open every day for breakfast Monday – Sunday 8 a.m. to noon, lunch Monday – Sunday noon to 5 p.m., and dinner Sunday – Thursday 5-10:30 p.m. and Friday & Saturday 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. To make a reservation, call 786.605.0819 or visit www.opentable.com/. Valet is available at the Berkeley Shore entrance at 1610 Collins Avenue, which is connected to the restaurant through the lobby.  There is also street parking available, as well as a street entrance to Fi’lia off Collins Avenue.
