Ever look at your dog and wish you could come back as them in your next life? You definitely will when you see what Healthy Spot has lined up for your pooch this summer. Healthy Spot is an organic pet food shop offering high quality treats and goodies for your four-legged friend. They stay true to their core values of supporting the community by offering fun monthly events for you and your pup, like Yappy Hours and Play Dates. They offer so many different opportunities for you to interact with other dog lovers all across LA. Here are just a few of the events I know I’m looking forward to.
Pool Pawty:
Beat the heat and take your pup to the pool. This event features gift bags for the first 100 guests, a social media contest offering a $100 gift card, a best trick contest, a best bathing suit costume contest, and dog adoptions.
Ice Cream Social:
This event for petite puppies (under 30 pounds) features the opportunity to run free in Healthy Spot’s designated Petite Pup Play Area, while you get to snack on some delicious ice cream. And so your furry friend isn’t feeling left out, they will be able to snack on doggie frozen yogurt from The Bear and The Rat.
Doga:
Yes, it’s yoga with your dog. Join Healthy Spot as Yoga Teacher and Certified Animal Massage Therapist, Aimee Hyatt, leads you through a Doga session aimed at reducing stress, nourishing the mind-body-spirit connection and fostering the human-canine bond.
Tails & Trails:
Join local health expert, Tara Berro, as she leads you on a walk through some of L.A.’s most scenic trails and speaks to the spiritual connection between nature, you and your dog.
Run Pack:
Grab your pups and join us for a Run Pack. Train for the upcoming Race for the Rescues 5k & 10K to join team Healthy Spot. A CrossFit Sandbox instructor will be leading you and your dogs through some exercises meant to prepare you for the upcoming marathon. You and your dog will run through some warm ups and then some drills. A mini agility course will be set up for your dogs!
