El Toro Taco Throws a Fiesta In Your Mouth At The Anderson Bar
The ever so snazzy El Toro Taco located in Miami’s super hip ‘80s themed bar, The Anderson, has become another favorite added to our list of must-haves when celebrating Taco Tuesdays or weekend fiestas. The Anderson bar holds a record for the longest standing liquor license in Miami-Dade. Therefore, it’s an absolute staple in our city! Their Tiki Hut patio is cozy and colorful, set up to feel like you’re kickin’ it in your own backyard with your groupie. In the middle is the bar is where the true fiesta’s at as you’ll find plenty Mexican inspired libations to quench your thirst.
For our lovely wine connoisseurs, El Toro Taco’s wine selection is actually imported from the Baja Coast of Mexico! We recommend sipping on the Santos Brujos Chardonnay to start. Following after, to accompany our appetizers the bartender whipped up some super fun Mezcal based cocktails with their own Sangrita mix! Totally diggin’ the tender spicy kick of the Sangrita. This menu also includes El Toro’s Margarita with Gracias A Dios Mezcal Espadin, House-made Hibiscus Tea, Fresh Lime Juice, and Cointreau.
First for appetizers, we opened up our stomachs to their Quatrp Salsas featuring their very own in-house fresh cut and fried tortilla chips, paired with an array of unique salsas. The chipotle based salsa was our most praised for it’s smokey-ness. Their Guacamole is also well mashed by the master bartender himself. In essence, we had no shame double dipping between the salsas and guac!
Next up in line were the sweet, creamy, cheesy Esquites Corn bowl topped with Cojita Cheese. Can’t stop and won’t stop spooning mouthfuls of these yummy kernels into our happy bellies. The Pulpo A La Parilla is la winner winner chicken dinner out of our appetizer course. The ingredients that El Toro Taco uses to slow cook then char-grill the octopus in makes this sea creature taste and feel like chicken!
By the time our appetites have been opened, we feasted on the taco selection to our heart’s delight. Impressively, their Tortillas are made fresh in the kitchen with Blue Corn. Their Beer Stewed Chicken Taco is incredibly juicy and packed with Colorful Sweet Peppers. El Toro Taco’s genius chef cooks their Duck and Pork in their own fat along with his own list of secret spices. Ultimately, this is delectable Confit meat done at its finestand we promise you’ll only experience this type of craft at El Toro Taco!
The 24-hour Marinade Beef Taco is the perfect medium-rare with a spicy tweak from their Oaxacan Mole and Spicy Chili Arbol. We died and went to taco heaven with these Shedonist favorites!
The Taco Camaron A La Parrilla is created with super plump Shrimp, an addictive vinegary Crema based slaw, drizzled with Chipotle Aioli. To add on to the list of kitchen facts, their Beer Battered Fish is made fresh with Ground Corn Flour from Mexico, never frozen and prepackaged, EVER!
El Toro Taco also caters to the vegetarian/vegan crowd with their earthy Curried Cauliflower Taco. It’s like a beautiful Indian-Mexican crossbred food baby. Their Taco Huevo De Codorniz Rancheros also packs a flavorful punch with Avocado Crema, Tomato Rallado. And Oaxacan Cheese. Definitely the perfect meatless taco with a black bean mix that’s too good to pass up!
Finally for dessert, we were graced with an exotic Avocado Lime Tequila Paleta and Mini Deep Fried Cinnamon Sugar Churros paired with Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream and Warm Chili Flaked Cinnamon Cocoa Syrup. Whether it’s Taco Tuesday or not, you can satisfy your taco fix every day during happy hour from 6pm to 8pm. Order three tacos and treat yourself with a free beer. Every hedonist and shedonist wins at El Toro Taco’s food truck under The Anderson’s tiki hut!
