Edoughble – Not Your Cookie Cutter Cookie Dough
By Samantha Dockser
Edoughble, created by Rana & John, ships their deliciously sweet, and totally safe to eat, cookie dough nationwide. It is the perfect Valentine’s Day treat, be it for your long distance sweetie, your long-time valentine, or just for you because you’re worth it.
Co-dough founder, Rana, explains that back in 2009, while she was getting her masters at USC, Nestle recalled millions of tubes of cookie dough as over 70 people became gravely ill from an e.coli and salmonella food poisoning outbreak. Rana realized she wasn’t the only person who loved raw cookie dough, and she set out to change the way it was consumed.
A pastry chef herself, she began coming up with fun, non-traditional flavors. Her dough is safely made without eggs, and using the highest quality ingredients available. From the butter to the vanilla beans and Belgian chocolate, the ingredients are hand selected and all natural. And, the product is made from scratch in small batches to ensure the highest quality and the most incredible doughy taste. Or, for a nice gooey texture, it can even be left unrefrigerated for 2 weeks.
How does Edoughble go about choosing their fun, sweet flavors? Well, they run two flavor contests a year on Instagram to see what their consumers want. It ultimately comes down to seasonality, texture and variety, so no two flavors are close to the same.
Ran’s favorite flavor is Birthday Bash. It is definitely one of their sweetest flavors. She recommends heating it up in the microwaves, using it as icing, or putting it on top of a big scoop of ice cream.
Birthday Bash— Vanilla Frosting swirled with Confetti Sprinkles makes this dough a birthday party in a cup.
Chocolate Chip Off the ‘Ol Block—your classic Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough gets a makeover. It features Callebaut Chocolate and creamy Cookie Cough.
Cookies ‘N Dream—this dough is filled with Dark Chocolate Cookie with Vanilla Cream. Sweet dreams are made of these.
Snicker Dude— this Sugar Cookie Dough is mixed with lots of cinnamon for a sweet, sinful treat.
S’more Please— Marshmallows, Dark Chocolate, and Graham Crackers make this dough the campfire treat you know and love.
Rana hopes for Edoughble to be available in grocery stores nationwide. But, for now, cookie dough lovers can order her product online via the website, Edoughble.com, where you can check out lots more flavors and treats!
Wishing you and your loved ones a happy Valentine’s Day!
